Helping out the locals

In our local village, we have a short newspaper which is created by volunteers. Just about local events, news, that sort of thing. They had an advert in there wanting a volunteer photographer so I applied and was given the work. I do not get paid for it but am happy to offer some spare time attending local events taking pictures.
Well today I had my first assignment. The local Cricket pavilion had burned down some months ago (arson) and they are renovating the pavilion. They wanted a few pictures of the work in progress. So I showed up, nasty weather, it was raining, took a few photos and went home. To be honest I am very unhappy with the quality of the pictures, but seeing as they will be printed in two colour, I am not too worried at the moment.
Work in Progress.
