Mac, Apple
Duh! Right now I am
reading the live WWDC 2007 keynote transcripts and man it is really boring! It's 3:40 AM and Steve has not still come up with something
wicked cool. Dayamn.
Update 2: If you don't know the meaning of a word, don't use it.
Update 1: Heh. Safari on Windows. Is this one of those secret features of Leopard that were supposed to be revealed at WWDC 2007?

Apple
Ars
compares the Quad Xeon (2 CPUs, 2 cores each) to the Double CPU (2 CPUs, one cores each) and the Quad Xeon is only slightly faster, though it has twice the number of cores.
Even in some categories, the PowerMac is still faster. Ah, and
seems that the Quad Xeons only consume 20 watts less than Quad PowerPCs (980 vs 1000.)
Seems like the transition was more about marketing instead of processing power and less power consumption. The situation seems to be totally different for laptops, though.
