The NetBeans team improves NetBeans' look and feel on Mac

, , , , ,

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this screenshot of NetBeans on Stan's weblog:

NetBeans looks much better this way on OS X. This also means that I might stop my work on MacBeans to avoid some redundant work. smile

Marco Hunsicker writes: While the new Look is definitely a great and welcome improvement, I really hope they will push further and clean it up. The borders between the different views are rather big and therefore quite distracting and the whole appearance is a bit too dark for my taste. So, I still see plenty of room for improvement, but it's understandable if you should decide to drop MacBeans. But one has to wonder whether your brave effort actually rang a bell ;) Thanks much for your work!

Thanks for your kind words Marco smile

I still like to see NetBeans with a glitch-free Coda-like Look and Feel. I might change my mind and continue the work on MacBeans after NetBeans 7.0 is released.
