Windows XP MCE

I looked on ebay earlier to see if I cud hunt down a cheap copy of XP MCE. But it still sells for £75+ ..wat da hell, it's like 3 years old! Some versions of Vista are cheaper than dat! Gah wat do I do? I'm not buying Vista atm regardless.. That wud make my slightly tired looking gaming PC no longer good at it's main job!

High, how goes it, I'm just looking at the cost of an upgrade my sys and chips, wos only going xp pro its here for 145 and 104 new. you can see the shop I'll go 2 happy hunting. never thought of ebay

I've just actually finished building a new pc. Dual 9800 gtx+, quad core q8200, 4 gig Corsair xms2, a gigabyte odin 800w psu and am asus p5ND. All of it in a antec p182 case.

Nah, I'm fine.

I'll just stay with my Athlon XP 3200+ system a while longer.. It's great, really! Hehe. Meh.. It runs Battlefield 2 on medium at 1024x768, so it's fine. xD

It started with.. A Radeon 9550 I think.. Only the 128MB version, wasn't very good, lol!

So the GeForce 5500 FX 256MB was definitely an upgrade. XD

If I were to go for one last upgrade spree (to use the machine as a high spec media centre), I would probably buy one of the new AGP Radeon's cos they are so cheap considering how much power they have.

I'm not sure if there's a much better processor I can get.. I think it's an Athlon 2500+ but I've overclocked it to 3200+. Um.. 768MB RAM so I'd whack that up to a gig if I stick with XP or 2GB+ for Vista..

Good plan?

The Radeon 9550 was awful though, lol.. Seriously, the 128MB version, was heatsink only too leaving no room for overclock. XD

Anyone know the best socket A processor?

you should seriously look at going dual core. a mobo/proccy combo can cost less than 100 quid.

@Filip the 9600 PRO was a quality graphics card in its day
