When I finished watching the film "The Graduate", I fell into deep and complicated thought without saying a word. The melody of the beautiful songs was still going on in my head.
Is this a comedy or a tragedy?
Everybody who once saw the film was satisfied at the end of film because Ben gained his true love. But I want to raise a question: why did Ben finally give in, when Mrs. Robinson seduced him?
Ben was very puzzled about his future during that time. He had got an excellent university life. But once he graduated, he lost his goal of life. In my view, this is maybe the key to question the above.
Besides the main hint of the whole story, another aspect is about the music, the two songs, "Scarborough Fair" and "Sound of Silence". Decades passed, but the songs still live in the hearts of many people. And they have been my favorite songs, every time sang in my heart, they make me think a lot, about the past, about the future, and
maybe more about someone~~
