On Food

When mention about restaurants, what comes to our mind is usually the delicious food. With the improvement of live standard, people’s taste of food seems to be hypercritical. We pursue healthy, green and even delicate food.
However, sometimes it’s not easy for us to fulfill all of this. For instance, as we are on the campus, most of the time we have to eat in the students’ cafeteria. Luckily that we can still go to the restaurants outside the campus for alternate. Though I’m not always go out for meals, I may still talk something about the foods between the restaurants and canteens.
First, on taste. Though the food in our canteens is diverse, some dishes are not so delicious. And I’m sure that it’s not because we are fastidious. Maybe the cooks just want to save time and do their work roughly. And this will not happen to the restaurants. The food there is generally more stylish and more enjoyable.
Second, on price. The price of food in our canteen is usually reasonable, but in the restaurants, it may cast you two or more times on the same dish. Such as vegetables. You may spend one Yuan on cabbage in the canteens while two or three Yuan in the restaurants.
Third, on safety. Most often, you can trust on the canteens because the food and cookery there are always strictly checked. But in the restaurants, you should be somehow careful about the hygiene, and aware of the food’s quality. Once I heard from one of my friends, who just got a stomachache, said that the fish she ate in the restaurants is not fresh. To be frankly, there maybe something behind that we cannot see.
Thus, base on the mentioned above, I still prefer to eat in our canteen. It’s much more convention and more safe. Though some food is not so pleasurable, hunger gives relish to any food, as we all know.
