After Pismo Beach we tried to catch some sun in Carmel but we haven't been lucky again
So we went to the 'Carmel Mission', to an 'Italian Restaurant' and finaly we played Poker with m&m's (because we lost our money already in Las Vegas)

This day we left L.A. for our final journey back to SF over Pismo Beach and Carmel. Nothing very interesting on the way and we just hoped to get some sun to lay at the pool but we didn't

Today we did a tour with the bus to be able to get as much impressions as possible from L.A. It was a hot day and the air in L.A. was very smogged
2006-07-22 (Day 12) Hoover Dam, Las Vegas

It was very warm when we left our Hotel near Grand Canyon for visiting the Hoover Dam and spending the night in Las Vegas again.
2006-07-21 (Day 11) Grand Canyon NP

The Great Canyon has been our goal for today. We left the Lake Powell, drove to the Trading Post in Cameron and entered the Great Canyon NP through the entrance in the east, spending about 3 hours within the park driving and walking till the weather got bad and it began to rain. After that we got into our Hotel near the south-exit of the GCNP.
2006-07-20 (Day 10) Bryce Canyon NP, Lake Powell

As we passed the Bryce Canyon NP yesterday we saw it today. It's a great park with many fascinating Mountains
After that we drove to Lake Powell spent the evening at the pool.
2006-07-19 (Day 9) Zion NP

Today we drove from Las Vegas through the Zion NP heading to the Bryce Canyon NP. But as we came to our Hotel, we decided to stay there and do the Bryce Canyon NP the next day.
2006-07-18 (Day 8) Death Valley, Las Vegas

After yesterday, which was very unspectacular, we drove today through the Death Valley to Las Vegas! More info you can find in the new Blog (the button right under the headline "Welcome..." ).
2006-07-16 (Day 6) Sequoia N.P.

We left the Yosemite NP, passed Fresno and entered the Sequoia NP. It's the park with the big old red trees! As you can see on the pictures we look very small in front of such trees!
Our last action was climbing up the highest mountain we could find: the Moro Rock! The view was breath taking and the stairs partly haven't been real stairs and on the left and on the right there has just been an abyss. *scary*
That day we stayed in Visalia at the 'Holiday Inn'!
2006-07-15 (Day 5) Lake Mono, Yosemite N.P.

Today we left Truckee to pass the Lake Mono and visit the Yosemite National Park. What should I say? The Park was awsome! It is sooo big you can't imagine. We needed hours to drive through and stopped from time to time to see, smell and feel the PURE nature!

After we arrived in Truckee yesterday, we visited Reno, Carson City and the Lake Tahoe today. In Reno we went to the National Automobile Museum. In Carson City we saw the old Houses. And at the Lake Tahoe, which we nearly once drove round, was just beautiful to see

Today we left SFo and our rooms at the Opal Hotel behind us. Riding on a Taxi we got our new Van at the SFo International Airport. You can see a nice picture of our Van inside the album
On our way to Truckee, CA we stopped in Sacramento - California's capital - to see Arnie's Capitol But it seems that he hasn't been in town

Today's programm included a helicopter flight over SFo and a visit of Alcatraz Island. As another higlight we took our dinner at Buppa Gump's Restaurant *mmh*
