The folks at MBR give Commencal's Meta 5.20 a perfect 10 rating in the August 2006 issue of their magazine. They describe it as "a notable step above every other bike in the test" with winning qualities like "light weight", a "stiff frame", and a ride that won't "hold [you] back".

Tested: Commencal Mini-DH

According to a Pinkbike.com tester, Commencal's Mini-DH was "the funnest" full-suspension ride at the recent Interbike 2006 Outdoor Demo in Las Vegas. "The 6" rear end was supple on top but progressive enough to keep me from hitting bottom. I was super stoked on the Formula K18 brake set on the bike too, comfortable levers, lots of power and the right amount of modulation. The Mini also has a neat setup up front with an adjustable headtube angle using pinchbolts and an internal concentric sleeve that gives you +/- 1 degree of adustment to let you dial her in, super trick! This is the everything bike for the pinner, it will work on the fast stuff, rip a slopestyle course and can double as a mini DH bike, as the name implies. I'm not exactly sure what the exact reason was but the Mini is one of those bikes that just "felt right" and that is the sure sign of a killer ride. If you are into geese then you should give this goose a chance, you might be surprised."

From Mtbr.com: 'For 2007, Fox Racing Shox has focused on redesigns that improve the range of adjustability and ease of use of their products while retaining the light weight and strength that the company's forks and shocks are known for. For 2007, Fox is introducing an all-new chassis for their popular 32mm forks and releasing a new 36 fork model: the super lightweight 36 FLOAT RC2. The Terralogic platform system has been improved by the ProTune system, and the new Talas II system has a new lever that makes fork height adjustments quick and easy. The Fox RP23 shock features a new ProPedal system that dramatically increases range of adjustability while still being as easy as a moving a dial and a lever.' Check out Scott's 2007 rides!
Sunday, October 22, 2006 1:53:01 AM

From VeloNews: 'On the eve of the 15th edition of Germany's Eurobike trade show, Scott USA took over the famed Graf Zeppelin Haus in downtown Friedrichshafen to unveil two new models for the upcoming 2007 season, both focused on setting new lightweight and engineering standards in a very competitive marketplace. The Addict road frame, soon to be Saunier Duval's new ProTour race machine, tips the scale at just 790 grams (56cm), while the original prototype Spark full-suspension mountain frame, now used by Thomas Frischknecht on the World Cup circuit, weighs in at 1700 grams (with rear shock). Scott claims that production versions of the frame will still weigh in at slightly less than 1800 grams (medium).' More / Addict Limited at Scott site
