Frazetta's Edgar Rice Burroughs Ace Book Covers Part One

I came across a site loaded with some fantastic scans of the paintings Frank Frazetta did for Ace Book’s Edgar Rice Burroughs selections. He did a large number of paintings in oil and watercolor as well as some pen and ink drawings on the inside of the books. I will space out the posts as to not burn everyone out with Frazetta but there will be more coming as I edit them up a little. The paintings were utterly superb and were done about the same time he did his groundbreaking Lancer Conan covers. The Ace series and Lancer series (of which I am having bad luck finding good scans of all his Conan covers) pushed Frazetta into literal superstardom. Included here at the top are his two savage Mucker covers. I owned those books as a kid but never read them. I did read most of the other books like Carson of Venus but to be honest I forget I ever read them. I think I bought them mainly for their brilliant covers. But what covers they were.
