24th Wedding Anniversary

Today, May 11th, marks 24 years of marriage for Rita and I. Yes, 24 years of wedded bliss. We have had many ups and downs but that is probably true for all of us. It takes a lot of commitment and compromise to stay married. It takes love and we still have that for each other.
We took the day off from work to celebrate our anniversary. We went out to lunch using a gift card from her mom and went to supper using money given to us for our anniversary from my parents. We went to the mall and walked around between these meals and we went to see the Star Trek movie. We had a great day together. It may not sound very romantic to many but we enjoyed it. We are looking forward to number 25. Maybe we will do something special to celebrate that milestone but even if we don't do anything special it will be a special day to us.
