A picture of a nazi or a zombie nazi and then a song called attack of the jell-o people....

I dont get it, is there some subliminal message to this?.

THe song itself says it's a remix; not sure a remix of what but anyway!

I must say, you are a very talented musician and composer! The short pieces you have made are waaaayyy better than just about all of the compositions I've heard from graduates from the music program at CalArts!

Hey Psy!
I just wanted to ask your opinion about the new Rammstein record.

Pzy-Clone 17. October 2009, 13:13

I think its entertaining and better than the last 2-3 albums.

Now, it`s obviously very simple: their strenght lies in the performance and the amazingly theatrical lead vocals, and their blatant use of German clichee culture.

There are some clever writing here and there buried under that lederhosen exterior, and all in all i found it to be quite good, all things considering.

It`s not music i respect compositionally, but rather put on when i feel the need to violate somone in a deep and profound way P:

Omnis 19. October 2009, 10:40

"...but rather put on when i feel the need to violate somone in a deep and profound way..."

Yeah I guess we have that in common :D
Some tracks on the record bring some good old Command&Conquer feeling like back in the earlier days of RS...

Omnis 22. October 2009, 12:08

I guess all of you have already met with this exeptional music video but for those who haven't here it is
"Mach mit bei Wurst Wasser!!!" :D

Aria Galactica is like Guns & roses Chinese Democracy of industrial/metal.

And Omis, that video and song was terrible! Cheap Rammstein ripoffs are everywhere!

Deathstars and Stoneman is enough :/

Pzy-Clone 6. November 2009, 17:31

Chinese Democracy ..bah, the difference will be that our album is not a weak and boring washup of old glory.

I wrote the major parts of Aria very briefly in a rush of inspiration, spendt a huge amount of time doing lots of intricate orchestrations for it afterwards...

BUT the album is not a work in progress so to speak...im doing lots of other things at the moment, those of you that think im some mad proffessor sitting here for years and years going over and over all the songs again are kinda crazy...P:

Im trying to finish no less than 3 albums....a tv show, a personal and parallel career as a freelance media composer...AND now we just got this Hollywood movie in our lap which we will work on (as the kovenant first and foremost)...

Hello Psy!

You had a specific section where to inform you if we encounter the leaked "Fragments of Reality", but i'll write here as this is a newer post. Just to ensure you notice me.

I faced the song in these pages:
http://www.vbox7.com/play:dfb77887
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjQnB8DeEtM

I hope I'm of some help, even tho the leak happened in 2006.

And remember, there are fans with brains, too. Not all are assholes. :D

Pzy-Clone 29. November 2009, 16:03

oh i know, but i gave up on that a long time ago...music has lost all financial value now, nobodys bothering with policing it anymore.

<im just glad the rest of the demos did not go online...
btw, i gave that demo out to 4 people....hm...which one put it online i wonder....

thanx tho, but its a lost cause i fear, and getting youtube to remove content...is...well, fun.

-P

. 29. November 2009, 17:32

Well, ok.
I just have this personal hate against all who misuse the work of others. I have sent a personal message for the person who published the song on youtube anyway, and asked him/her to delete it. Nothing has happened so far...

Anyway, it is of course good that it was the only leaked song.

Your music would have financial value if you released Aria in FLAC format at a sample rate of 96000 hz. ;)

Well, you have spread the song to wider audience, so yes you have done something wrong.

Of course I don't have the authority to judge you, since I am just a fan of the band, but I think you should remove it as soon as possible.

Seems a bit stupid to not upload what's little more than half a song, when The Kovenant currently has no other form of advertising.

Bla....don't wanna wait for the freaking password reset e-mail to finally come in (havn't logged in in a while).

That piece of music was posted on Lex his Opera blog space before people pissed him off and he couldn't be bothered.
I'm sure I have it somewhere on my old PC ...and I downloaded it via some official Kovenant source...I'm sure of it.

But maybe your just kidding around I dunno. :)

Have not commented much in decades but I have been checking in now and then to check if there is any progress reading stuff people posted here.

I do hope to see some stuff from one of your projects to emerge some time...it's been way too long man :) (yes I know pure genius takes time).

But heck I'm way past beeing impatient for the new The Kovenant album to arrive.
Lots of other interesting music to listen and find to keep me busy until "the big day" arrives :)

For instance: I should get my paws on the new Ram-Zet album soon (it's been out for a while but the dutch distributor has been a total prick and that's why I don't have it yet).

Did Küth send you a copy? If so...how do you like Ram-Zet -Neutralized?

Also I've finally come around to delve into Ulver....it's some interesting music that will prob need a lot of my attention cause it's so different.

Other then that I'm still looking for some hard to find music.
Namely stuff similair to Empyriums Weiland album...some sites have called it Neo/Dark Folk...but have not found anything yet (example of music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EycqBA8MjV4 ).
Heck but something similair to Arcturus's Ad Astra would also be nice (yeah asking for impossible stuff).
Anyone have any suggestions....or forums that have people that have suggestions?

Anyway Psy...good luck with all your stuff...and prepare for world domination once your movie stuff gets done hehe.

. 1. December 2009, 07:39

Well, you may find it stupid not to upload. But the point is that it was not an official teaser or anything - it leaked against the will of the band.

My point is that if you really like their music, why to upload songs that were not meant to be uploaded? Be it just a half song, no difference.

I am passing time by listening to he Kovenant's previous records, they just won't sound dull after many years of listening.

4 years passed from then, I'm sure it's no problem to have some demo still available! Till the release of the album the song would be very much changed I guess. I've been always happy to find some 1992 demo of NIN on tape or something like that! =)

. 1. December 2009, 08:37

This is not a 1992 demo, it is an unfinished song from an unreleased album. It's not the same thing.

Anonymous 1. December 2009, 08:46

Pest writes:

Oh I understand that it wasn't meant to be uploaded in the first place. I know first hand from having Psy tell me to take it down from MySpace a few years ago, unknowing that it wasn't an official demo. Back when the album was supposedly coming out in the near future, it was appropriate to remove it. But since it's been years now, and if the mp3 is still out there, trying to suppress it would be fruitless. The way I see it(which could very well be the wrong way), at this point it could only help having Fragments out there. All it can do is attract a new fan or two who may eagerly wait for the real thing.

Damnation_6 1. December 2009, 08:49

@Zachary239

Seems you didn't read my bit... (Anonymous 1. December 2009, 00:20)

I believe I had this demo for a few years now...and I got it via an official Kovenant source...
However it could also be a shorter piece of the song.
Can't access my old PC however to check. (it's broken)

And erm...I did not upload or share it anywhere by the way.

Last but not least...I can understand if Psy doesn't want it on youtube or other sites....he has every right too P:

. 1. December 2009, 09:25

Oh well, it may be that I am too passionate about it . The Kovenant being my fav band and all. You are propably right. I'll shut up on this matter starting... now.

. 2. December 2009, 11:08

By the way Psy, what do you think of the music of Samael and Deathstars?

I like both and I'm just curious

Deathstars? Really?

. 4. December 2009, 07:52

Yes, I know... The lyrics aren't very profound or intelligent but I just like em' anyway. Actually you could find lots of reasons to laugh if I told what my favorite bands are, I suppose.

Pzy-Clone 4. December 2009, 08:55

Is that actual DS lyrics? LOL.
Okay then,..never read any of their lyrics, that is certaintly...not profound , no P:

I dont mind, they sound ok...good blend of styles, i never realy listened to them much, just not that interested.

Samael is good, the passage era is a classic one already...lost me a bit after that tho.
Ceremony+passage+exodus...i do like alot on many levels.

listen dude, im not gonna be all high and mighty...but id prefer it if you gave your own demos out for free online instead of mine.
I worked pretty damn hard on that album...stuff like this is kinda annoying and makes me wonder why.

Oh by no means did I mean to imply the distribution of your work. I was just stating my opinion. But I'm not a professional musician, and it's your work and not mine so my opinion doesn't really matter. I didn't mean to tell you what to do or anything.

I'm not sure if those are actual Deathstars lyrics, but I remember a song that had "When the dark does what the dark does best...its darkness!" Fortunately I think they've gotten away from that in their latest album.

. 4. December 2009, 19:08

And btw, it is easy to make the lyrics of a song sound stupid if you separate a part of them from the whole song. (Referring to the comment of lol).

That's how texts usually get fucked up (All the way from Bible to rock lyrics): By removing single sentences and words from the context.

Long time since I last posted here, I think. Good to see that Psy is still alive and Lex apparently too, Troll played some shows in Portugal/Spain earlier this year, and even here in Holland on some black metal festival a few weeks ago. I would have gone, if it wasn't for the fact I don't like Troll, or even black metal in general. Heck I should have gone anyway, to ask Lex personally why it's taking so long and when AG finally will be released... :-(

Pzy-Clone 7. December 2009, 21:11

well , id (again) like to state i have nothing against the Deathstars...i never read their lyrics, and have no perticular opinion towards them.

They have done well, and i do not dispute their validity or following in any way.

I simply am not that consious about their work, altho that is about to change slightly, for reasons soon to be revealed.

. 8. December 2009, 12:14

My last post wasn't indicated to you Psy  Not by any means. It was for the guy who wrote under the name of "Pest". His comment awakened erm... negative feelings in me and that's why my comment had so negative vibes in it.

You (Psy) didn't say anything bad about the group, at least nothing that I would have noticed ^^

Pzy-Clone 9. December 2009, 04:21

aha..and as a ironic twist of fate, im actualy sitting in my studio working something containing the lyrics "wow wow the end of our lives..."right now.... lol, odd coincidence.
