Statement as of 5:22 AM EST on February 16, 2010
... Slick spots early this morning...
Temperatures have dropped below freezing across the Baltimore-
Washington metropolitan area early this morning. This has allowed
melted snow and slush to re-freeze... resulting in some slick
spots for the morning commute.
In addition... scattered snow showers will affect the Metro area
early this morning. While most areas will receive no snow
accumulation... a few places may pick up to a half inch of snowfall
which will result in slippery conditions. This is most likely
across central and southern Maryland.
If traveling across the Baltimore-Washington Metro area early this
morning... please exercise extra caution.

Statement as of 11:54 PM EST on February 19, 2010
Temperatures in the 40s today helped promote melting of snow...
but ground surfaces tonight are covered with substantial runoff.
Despite temperatures being slightly above freezing over a large
portion of the region... the water from melted snow is likely to
refreeze on roads... sidewalks and driveways overnight through
early morning. Motorists are urged to drive with extra caution
late tonight through the morning commute as black ice is expected
to be common.
