Blissful Dreams

Since moving to the tropics, I developed a real love of frogs, all sorts, though the green tree frog has a particular charm that makes it just a tad more lovable.

I remembered this hilarious encounter that took place late one night. I had gone to sleep with my window slightly ajar to allow fresh air to circulate. I was happily dreaming away in sound slumber, when all of a sudden I felt this cold clammy thing fall flat on my face.

I gave out this yelp of shock and leaped out of bed. I raced for the light and turned it on. Only to discover the biggest, greenest tree frog with the widest smile I had ever seen before. I laughed outrageously and no doubt my neighbours thought me insane.

I then proceeded to catch the frog and put it outdoors where I am sure it would have been much happier.
