Blissful Dreams

I had organized to meet a friend at a particularly beautiful part of the river that neither of us had explored before. We were going to play with our cameras.

There is a pontoon here where kids play and jump off into the river. I found a comfortable "possie" on the grass near by to sit, wait and observe the happenings around me. It was nice to see kids climbing trees, something that seems not so easy to find these days. Something that maybe says a lot about the state of our world and the way we live???

I decided to lay on my back and look up at the sky and that's when I spotted this kookaburra, hidden amidst the branches. Everyone around was oblivious to its presence. I took a few photos and proceeded to put my camera away (not a smart move)because as soon as I did that, it decided to do this magnificent dive into some leaves. It must have spotted a lizard or something and off it swooped. Missed the shot...
