True Blood Season 6 Episode 10 During the funeral, friends and family each told their favorite stories about Terry, which were explained through flashbacks. We learned through Andy that his cousin struggled after he came back from the war and only Raging Bitch IPA, fishing, friends and Fort Bellefleur could help him cope with his traumatic experiences. Sam also spoke during the funeral and told his story of how Terry ended up working at his bar in Bon Temps.
True Blood Season 6 Episode 10 Other co-workers of Terry chimed in and shared their fondest memories of Arlene’s late husband. But it was Lafayette’s story that truly made last night’s episode worth watching. Lala explained that Terry was struggling his first day at Merlotte’s. “I don’t want to screw this up,” Terry said to Lafayette in the flashback. “I could see into his soul,” the head chef told the funeral-goers, adding that he could tell Terry had a dark past. But in typical Lala-fashion, he had Terry frying potatoes and dancing in a matter of minutes to help ease his nerves.
Then it was Arlene’s turn to speak, but Sookie could hear that she wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye, which is when the blonde waitress jumped up to help stall. Sookie confessed to being a telepath, which was kind of surprising, and told Arlene that Terry was smitten with her from the first day he laid his eyes on her. While Sookie was reading Terry’s mind during his first day cooking at Merlotte’s, she heard him say that Arlene was “the prettiest woman I’ve ever saw” and that it “makes coming out of the woods not so scary.”
“He loved you since the second you walked into his life and not too many people can say they were loved like that,” Sookie told Arlene. “But you can. You deserve to know that.” Arlene then finds the courage to speak, calling Terry her rock. Big John Dixon ends the funeral by singing “Life Matters” as the marines give Terry a gun salute.
With that said, let us explain why we weren’t particularly fond of last night’s True Blood. Here’s what happened: After being a jerk to Sookie and Warlow, Bill gets his butt blasted out of faerie haven. He’s then back to plan B and time is running out to save the vampire race from meeting the true death. But Eric already has a head start to saving his protégé, Tara, Jess and Willa, since the vampire Viking nearly drained Warlow of his sun-walking blood. When Bill arrives to Governor Burrell's vamp camp, he sees that Eric has clearly been running wild tearing humans from limb to limb in order to gain access to the camp. The first thing on Eric’s to do list is to seek revenge on Dr. Overlark, the man who injected Nora with the deadly virus. And boy does he ever! He rips the doctor’s genitals clean off, leaving him to die a slow and painful death. Bill finds the doc lying on the ground begging to be put out of his misery. Bill obliges after the doctor admits to having seen Jessica in the camp, and stomps the white coat-wearing man’s face in “like the cockroach he is.”
