The Music of My Youth

...because your earliest musical memories are the ones that matter the most!

Alvin Lee & Mylon LeFevre live (1973)

Englishman Alvin Lee, the flashy Woodstock guitar hero who brewed up some interesting blues-rock with his band Ten Years After, teamed up with American gospel singer Mylon LeFevre in 1973 to record a mainly laidback and wistfully melodic folk-rock album titled On the Road to Freedom that has stood up better than any of the TYA or Mylon's Christian rock efforts. These live videoclips (backup musicians on this rare live footage apparently include Boz Burrell, Steve Winwood, Ian Wallace, Tim Hinkley, Mike Patto and Jim Capaldi) feature spirited versions of songs from that fine LP:

The World is Changing

Carry My Load

Rockin' Till the Sun Goes Down

Del Bromham's Stray - Suicide videoVideo: Stealers Wheel - I Get By (1972)
