Skiing is not about balls - it is in relation to balance. I have seen many friends - determined to ski off-piste or bust - persist to bang their heads against their lack of skill in anticipation, until finally they learn to do it well. Skiing is an out door sport and as such you require gear that will keep you warm and dry. Basics are ski pants (waterproof and warm), a ski jacket, gloves, a hat (toque) and thin socks. In fact several of the ski area should give some grand sport. Skiing is best in the East but the west is improving.
Skiing is a great sport but can be perilous. If you haven't had an accident on the slopes, you must know someone who has. Skiing is one of the few sports where men and women take part in teams. This is mainly because, along with golf, it is not in fact a sport but a piece of middle-class posing.
