About me
An adventurous U.S. military brat from the mid-twentieth century, I love living outside the U.S. Although I'm the lucky benefactor of the latest software user interface design breakthroughs, I continue to challenge myself by using less commonly-used software, in order to enhance my ability to visualize and operate in cultures outside the U.S.My work
I'm a writer, mostly of technical documentation, but also of instructional textbooks and teaching aids. I have taught multimedia software to undergraduate students at University of San Francisco, as well as to continuing education students at San Jose State University's Professional Development Center, where I also teach office productivity software courses. Recently, I also taught presentation skills courses for students enrolled in the GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software program at San Jose City Colllege's Institute for Business Performance.Fast facts

Why I choose the Opera browser
Through Opera, I experience the Internet through a different environment than I would with other, more commonly used browsers. That experience helps me stay mentally aware of different and better ways to communicate, and helps me continue to think outside the (U.S.) box.
