Yesterday we made a trip to the vets for their health check and puppy shots.it's always great to see the vets ..I love hearing I've done a great job. It never gets old to me, to hear them ask if they're older then what they are because they don't have too much of that puppy stupidness from the lack of being socialized.
My youngest daughter was with me and I broke her in as a vet assistant, she held the pups while they got weighted, temp, exam and shots.
They were so quiet after they had their shots, after such a busy week with them, totally on the go with them, their quiet time was welcomed. We joke about it's like they were drugged (they were), but I kind of was implying they were drugged with sleepy things.
Believe me, they were back to ruff housing it this morning around 6 they started it and kept it up till about 8, and then they slept in till about 10:30. I think Atlas had everything to do with them wanting to play again.
Theodore is HUGE, that's all there is to say about that... He's the giant of the litter, will he be the biggest when full grown? Only time will tell.
Right now, they're all sleeping ....ahhh as much fun as I have with each of them when they're awake, I need my breaks too, I love puppy naps!

They like to venture and find things and they run quick when they sniff like the broom and they nock it over. I mean they high tail it out of there, as if to prove there were some where else then at the scene of the accident. *makes me laugh so. They’re usually out of the room before the handle hit’s the floor, they’re quick. But what’s good about it happening, is they learn they hate the snap of the broom handle falling, so they know next time to not push into it… but of course each one of them have to have the same experience (which cracks me up).
All pups will find the smallest of things (grand daughter’s toys that fell threw the couch and if a puppy’s eye can see, a puppy’s paw will attempt to get it.
Emergency at the office
Yesterday’s vet visit was a warning to us all, and I feel like I should pass it on…
A lady comes into the office with her 10 month terrier type breed dog, she’s all panicked. I help her in, I’m the first one to see the lady rushing to the door with her dog, and I notify the desk to help the woman before seeing my pups.
Upon leaving I ask what happened, the pup had a rawhide chew bone lodged in his throat and he had to have surgery to remove it. You know when you look into someone’s eyes you can tell when things aren’t good? That’s what I was reading, I don’t think the 10 month old pup was going to make it.
The woman was telling us all never to give a pup one of them cute little “their size” which is small rawhide bones, because “THIS” is what happens
I expected movie magic where they rushed the pup into the office and the vets preformed miracle saving techniques.
