It's release time again!!! Here comes the all new 1.19.0.5 version of the Cool SL Viewer for Windows *smile*. Optimized for P4+ and SSE.

For a smooth installation and run I suggest to first install the official Linden viewer, then extract my archive over it and replace all existing files.
And for all you builders out there who don't like the ALT key to make objects appearing in red when in Edit mode...one version without the ReinstateAltShowsPhysical patch (VWR-2086)

And here comes the update for the standard "official" Cool Viewer. Just copy the .exe over the earlier archive. This one is optimized for SSE only, should work on older machines!

Just updated to the latest build available. The archive includes only the SecondLifeWindLight.exe. Simply replace the one from the previous (79627) version and you're ready to go!

A short update after a nasty bug hunt *smile*. I got finally the new 1.19.0 version of the WindLight Cool Viewer working under Windows. It includes all the features of the 1.18.6 inclusive an update to RestrainedLife 1.10.2. And it is optimized for SSE only, so should also work on a bit older machines. Please see the older postings for details.

Update of the Cool Viewer to incorporate the fixes of RestrainedLife 1.10.1. Please see the previous release description for details. To update please extract the archive using WinRar over your existing installation of the same version.

This will also store your settings no longer in C:\Documents and Settings\<name>\Application Data\SecondLife\user_settings\settings_windlight.xml but in settings_coolslviewer_wl.xml. Both viewers come in full packages, you can just overwrite and replace your current version (of the same release 1.8.6.77495 or 1.18.5.3) with the content of the RAR archives. Please note that the following libraries and components are not included in the packages as they are not redistributable. To get full functionality please copy them from the official Linden Labs SL viewer:
llkdu.dll - Kakadu JPEG2000 library
SLVoice.exe - Voice deamon
SLVoiceAgent.exe
vivoxsdk.dll - Vivox Communications API
The viewer will still run without them but with lower performance (OpenJPEG) and missing voice features.

Brand new Blog, first post *smile*
I was recently playing a bit with Linux and Henri Beauchamps really cool CoolViewer. It combines a lot of bug fixing, old UI features many prefer, additional features and Marine Kelley's RestrainedLife viewer which can simply be enabled by a debug setting.
Great work Henri! *smile*. Unfortunately it was only available for Linux. That has changed now. After a bit trial and error and talks to Henri here comes a full SecondLife_i686_1_18_5_3_CoolRelease_9 version for Windows (based on official 1.18.5.3) fresh out of the compiler, virtually identical with the Linux version on
http://sldev.free.fr . The archive is a complete new installation, simply replace your SecondLife folder (C:\Program Files\SecondLife) with the one in the archive. Ready to go!
