About me

Well, lets see, I am the father of two boys (from my previous marriage), and I miss them very much becuase they live with their mother, and my line of work makes it hard for me to see them. I am re-married to a wonderful woman who really turned my life around.

I am currently attend Troy University via Online Classes to get my degree in History becuase I would like to become a History teacher when I retire from the military. I will talk more about my job in the "My Work" section. The reason i want to become a History teacher is because I have always loved history; Ask my wife, she is tired of the history channel; and my high school history teacher was a big influance on what I wanted to be when I was older. I guess I just want to continue my service to my country after I get out of the Army.

My work

Well I am a Sergeant int he United States Army, and I love it. I have deployed to Iraq once, and I will be deploying to Afghanistan. I can not say when, but it will happen. I joined the Army back in 2005, so I know what I was getting myself into, but to set the record straight, I did not join to kill people. In fact the line of work I chose is far from that. I am currently holding the position of Maintenance Chief for an Air Traffic Control (ATC) Company. What this means is that I trained in a profession that requires me to ensure that ATC equipment is in peak condition so that there is nothing that ever goes wrong with it. I am able to, at a moments notice, preform maintenance on the equipment whether it be for training, or actual deployment use. My job discription is Air Traffic Control Systems/Sub-systems Electronical Equipment Repair. What this means is that I am a glorafied computer tech. I say this becuase all of the systems are ketching up with the times and become more computer based.
