Foo Fighters - Hyde Park 17 06 2006

After a week of flu and sorting out the new job,

A great surprise followed, Nick, found out Foo Fighters were playing in Hyde park on the weekend and promptly booked the tickets. He got me one too! smile
So on Saturday, he went off to catch up on some work, and I went to meet Jinnie and a small South African army all with big smiles and bottles of drink in hand at Box Bar before heading off to the train station. Of course, we all made South Africa proud by drinking of the trains,
but thats Ok I just kept on speaking about Australia , and all the englishmen thus cursed the Aussies.

We swapped over to bus at Vauxhall station, and then climbed off at Hyde Park corner,
We met up with Nick and all missioned through the thousands of people into the arena.
We found a good place, quite close to the stage with a big screen infront of us, and set up camp.

A good few Carling's flowed and all were on a good vibe. The bands came on and we had a blast, inlcuding Juliette Lewis, The lead singer from Blink 182 (angels and airwaves) , Motor head, and The big Foo.

It really was great, but once it was all over it was good to get away from all those people.
They said it was only 78000 people, but it felt like more.

Then of course was the way home?

All the stations were shut, so we tried to walk to Victoria, to catch a train. But when we got there, the station was closed as well, so Nick, Grant, Jo, Leanne and myself popped in to Pizza Express and had a bite. Of course I got the hot pepperdues which made my mouth burn, but the food was good.

After dineer, we caught a cab (33Pounds), and made our way home, stopping for smokes at the puzzle, I waited while Nick went in, after 15 minutes I realised he had got hung up and I had to go in and fetch him, he had met yet another 2 girls and was drinking Snake bites (thats why I have the head ache today!) anyway, then home and crashed.

Wasnt a bad weekend at all!
