Blood and pig feet for dinner

, , , ,

We have tried eating a few strange things here in Beijing already, but yesterday Xiaolin and Thruth took us to a great hotpot restaurant and made us try some even more weird stuff, such as "blood tofu" and pig feet.

It tasted better than I thought it would, and we also had some great beef and lamb meat. More pictures from this restaurant visit can be found in the albums.

Forbidden CityInspection time!

I must admit.. it was the curiosity about somebody eating blood and pig feet that drove me to reading this article..

Being very peaceful I thought that was a very cannibalistic title :yikes:

But the food does look delicious..

Maybe I am a hypocrite...:frown:

Or myabe I am just hungry..!! :chef:

I like the latter as a better option.. p:

Bon Apetit!!

Thanks  I don't think we will eat blood every day here in China, there are so many new things to try out here. We're hoping to find a restaurant that serves dog meat, hehe p:

Almost lunch time now.. I wonder what's on the menu?

Have you eaten the famous dumplings as yet? There was 1hour program shown on the National Geographic channel about chinese dumplings.

Hi Kiran, last time I had dumplings was in Oslo  There were actually some dumplings on the dinner table yesterday, but I didn't dare try them since they contained some unknown seafood p:

I'll add some pictures later if we go out for a proper dumpling meal!

The foods in big restaurants are not tasted as good as they looked.
Go and ask some local people that where the most delicious foods is in Beijing. They will probably tell you go to some small restaurant at the corner of the small avenue.
