Wow, I've been playing Halo 3 and it's great craic (craic = Irish for fun). If you've not tried it, what's wrong with you?
I bought it and played 15 minutes into the story when my friend called over with a new controller he bought to play Halo 3 (he doesn't own a 360 though

). Anyway so we started playing split screen local game for a while and I beat him each time which made up for it. We then took turns playing online on my Live account. That was all on Wed and I didn't get to play Halo again until today for various reasons (work).
On Saturday, I went to the Xbox Live Gaming Centre (XLGC) in Dublin which was a lot of fun but had its problems. The first being they didn't have Halo 3 and we found this out after turning up which is after the organisers rang to ensure they had it and that our day was booked weeks in advance. The second problem was our booking was booked

. Anyway we played COD 3, Halo 2 and Shadowrun instead and we had some competitions for some cheap enough prizes. I got a Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta t-shirt, keyring with light (fancy) and a Flash memory stick 128MB (small but strong, similar to a dog tag I guess). The day was organised by some of the guys at
http://www.xbox360exile.com which is a great place to hang out and the owner of the site came by to see how things were going which was cool.
He also thanked me for my articles that I have written for the site. I wrote a couple of articles for the magazine over there which you should all check out

and I wrote a review for the game Just Cause for the site.
It's Sunday now and I was playing Halo 3 again today and got a bit into the single player campaign which is very good after you get into it (takes a while to get going). I then played for a bit online with some of the guys from Xbox360-exile.com before my housemates asked me to stop playing so they could watch tv. They've asked me to move my 360 from the living room which is fair enough but it's my HDTV so its coming too because we don't have Sky HD so there is no real point in leaving it down there IMO. I have another 20" which I'll leave downstairs for them. My HDTV is only 32" so it's not that big a step down for them and it is a nice 20" tv which I should really try to sell but I don't want to move my tv and sell that one and upset everyone in the house.
Anyway since I'm moving my 360 upstairs, I'll now need a wireless adapter as the LAN cable I'm using ATM isn't 100 feet long (note some exageration on the cable length required). I'm looking for a cheap one and have put in a bid at ebay and am hoping to get one for about 30 Euro or GBP £21. I've run into an article on how to use your laptops wireless to connect your 360 to Xbox Live so I'll go down that route if I can't get a wireless adapter for 30 Euro or less because its a bloody rip off at retail prices. I got wireless for my laptop for 15 Euro so why the hell would I pay almost 100 quid for the 360's wireless which only lets me play games online when I can do that on Pc along with access the Internet via web browser etc...
Anyway enough ranting and raving, hope anyone that bothers reading this nonsense had a good weekend.
