It's incredible what you can find in an ordinary garden if you look closely enough.
Amateur photographer Brian Valentine specialises in making the everyday look exotic with the wonders of macro photography, using special lens to magnify his subjects. All these pictures were taken in his garden in Worthing, Sussex, and show the incredible beauty of flowers reflected in dewdrops and raindrops, usually on a simple blade of grass.

A chrysanthemum appears to have been tightly packed into glass
Drops on a callistemon are monster-like
These reflected delphiniums look startlingly like eyes

The pictures are taken using a macro focus lens... it allows you to get very close to the subject matter. Also, the raindrop will capture the image of whatever is behind it. Nature is truly a wonder!

It was so long ago, I have to find the pictures and scan them. My favorites were taken on a cold morning when the sun was rising. I got some really interesting shots on a windowpane. Perhaps I'll locate them when I unpack...
