After reviewing their blog, reading his postings, watching video testimonials with what he has done with regard to local clients, etc. I was impressed. His email continued that he was looking forward to 2012 as he planted a great deal of good seeds.
I immediately replied to his email through an analogy I always used to use when I was on the highway doing training sessions for my network marketing company. The analogy was about a monk who was given the chore of applying water a bamboo tree every morning and evening.
This monk performed his task with gusto during the first week. But at week's end, he never see a sprout. So he continued to accomplish this the second week. Still no sprout right at the end of the second 7 days. He started to obtain discouraged but continued his twice daily routine to get a third and then some sort of fourth week. To his dismay, no visible warning sign of life. Deciding to allow it one more 7 days before he threw inside towel, he continued. Right at the end of this fifth 7 days, no sprout.
He went to see the abbott, the top of the monastery, and told him off his efforts with nothing to show for it. Obviously he wanted your abbott to suggest an alternative task for him to do. Instead, the abbott thought to continue doing exactly what he previously been doing over the previous five weeks.
He left the abbott's business office, still discouraged, but decided that they would do as that abbott instructed him to do.
The following day, Monday, he performed his watering routine. The day after that he noticed the slightest sprout peeking out of your ground. Day three with his sixth week, this tiny sprout suddenly turned out to be six inches tall. By way of the fourth day, it grew to your full foot. By Saturday, it was a adult - 40 foot : bamboo tree.
I tied up this analogy to his planting of good vegetables in 2011 which he intended to see the results associated with in 2012.

How does this fit your network marketing business? You could be doing all your business for weeks, months, years and have little to show for it. But keep "watering" your business daily. You may not end up seeing any sprouts but from your continuing in your company, unseen roots are growing below the surface.
Somewhere, somehow expect these roots to help a large business, ones large business, your towering "bamboo tree" for years to come.
