Chest fat How To Get Rid Of Man Boobs - What To Avoid And What To Use

, , ,

Gynecomastia (commonly called man boobs) is a very common problem these days. An extremely embarrassing condition that is not well understood, male breasts is extremely common in men aged 15-24.

As common as it is, a good treatment for man boobs has yet to grace the medical field. Even so, there are other treatment options that offer great hope to sufferers of this condition. Of course, understanding gynecomastia and the causes behind it are the first step towards proper treatment.

What Causes Gynecomastia?

Gynecomastia is usually associated with a diet comprised of junk food. The primary factor, however behind gynecomastia is more than just a fatty diet. While increased amounts of fat will often result in 'fat pouches', there are many healthy men who still have fat deposits under their breasts, giving the appearance of man boobs.

In a majority of the cases, the real cause behind man boobs is a disturbance in the hormone levels. This disturbance in hormonal levels is usually found in men with poor eating and exercise habits. It makes sense then that, while it may superficially appear that excess fat is the problem, this is actually not correct.

How Do I Know I Have Gynecomastia?

As is apparent by the terms man boobs and male breasts, gynecomastia is defined as the condition where a man with little to no medical problems experiences an increasing amount of fat deposits under the breasts specifically underneath the nipples, making it appear similar to female breasts.

While the fatty male breasts often coincide with fat content elsewhere on the body, in many cases the breasts are dis-proportionally large, resulting in widespread derision and distress.

Treatment For Gynecomastia

Many treatment options for gynecomastia have been offered, a large percentage of which are actually counter-productive:

1. The Scalpel - This is surprisingly common. The fat deposits under the breasts are surgically removed after opening with a scalpel. While this may have an immediate effect, there is no guarantee that the results will persist.

Additionally, the danger of permanent scar tissue developing underneath (which means permanent man boobs) easily makes this a pretty bad option. This procedure, as expected, is very expensive, and like all surgeries, carries additional risks.

2. Prescription Drugs - These are often prescribed even though their effectiveness is widely disputed. Secondly, the expensive nature and dangerous side effects associated with them makes drugs a poor choice.

3. Condition Maskers - This category houses anything that doesn't actually cure man boobs, but gives a superficial impression of being free of gynecomastia.

A good example of a masker is the gynecomastia vest, which works in a manner very similar to a corssette. However, this can be even more embarrassing, since taking off the shirt and vest at a beach suddenly reveals the man boobs you 'didn't have before'.

4. Exercises for gynecomastia - Though these work, one needs to have a good knowledge of which ones work, and pursue them diligently. In addition, this is not immediately effective in treating issues resulting from excessive hormonal imbalance and can only help with developing more muscle mass in the chest.

By far the best option is to apply an eclectic system of treatment that combines the various components of the treatment in a plan that quickly helps eliminate male breasts.
