Oh Bugger, of all things to fail the simple things are the most frustrating.

Spent the last two days getting all the gear together for the solar water
heating so this morning I started assembling the pile of parts.
All seemed to be going swimmingly, the "t" connectors for the tubing
worked out to be exactly the right width to space the tubes to fit in the
troughs of the corrugated iron on the roof, all the fittings for the pump
worked out fine and I was well under budget.
After assembly I fixed the completed collector to the roof and proceeded
to run the pipework after a final check I started to fill the system.
That's when I heard the sound of running water, I'd checked all the
connections, they were all good so it had to be something else and
something else it was. I had spent hours pondering over the intricacies of
the system an had completely ignored the possibility that some of the
equipment may not be as good as had been promised, the largest and most
expensive part of the system, the hot water cylinder, leaked like a
sieve... NOT HAPPY. I shall have a look on TradeMe but I don't hold out
much hope for getting one and, let's face it, I could be throwing good
money after bad, as they say.
Oh well, keep on keeping on, I shall get there one day.
Cheers
Steve
