• BabelPad

  Windows Unicode Text Editor (Even Supports Unicode command line arguments and editing utf-32 text files.) It is not however a programmers editor yet.

• Jedit

  Java-based text edtior. Good uniocde support and lots of features. (Slow performance though)

• EditPlus

  My favorite text editor. Unicode support could be better, but otherwise, it's awesome! It hase a column limit over 2^20.

• Winamp

  My favorite audio player. Everything else is just annoying to use.

• HexEdit

  Hex editor that actually shows utf-8 files as utf-8 bytes instead of utf-16 bytes like most text editors like UltraEdit

• IZArc

  It's now stable and is awesome!. It replaces Winrar and other zip programs.

  Free and non-obtrusive (as long as you don't install the email scanner)
