I've been a little quiet on here for the last few months, largely as I wanted to see what came out of the coalition, having finally voted LibDem again as least worst option. While a Tory government isn't my ideal by a long stretch, I'm really glad we ditched the neo-Stalinist fake Labour regime of Blair and Brown, and it looks like the coalition might yet undo some of the damage done to our rights and liberties. I guess if we have to have a Tory government then a strong leavening of the LibDems curtailing the loopier elements of the Tories is a good thing.

Not that I'm daft enough to think there won't be some rough times ahead: working in higher education, things will be tight. But I'm not convinced it would be any better under fake Labour: after all (as one of them admitted), there's no money...
