Silver linings

image902826822.jpgWell autumn may be in full swing and the days growing shorter, not to mention the winter blues kicking in etc etc. But the sky this morning was spectacular, and looks even better with a Lomo filter applied :-)

Damp grey Sunday

, , ,

Well it's a damp grey day today, but I'm here at a local farm shop checking out their breakfasts for future reference. Today I'm on my own, quite often I have partners in cholesterol...

It may come as a surprise to anyone who knows me that I'm up for a full English. For over 25 years I was vegetarian. However I started to eat meat again last April. The trigger was homoeopathy, which resulted in really strong cravings for red meat.

Anyway, most Sundays I end up going for a full breakfast these days. Gets me out of the house if nothing else, and frequently it's a good way to meet friends.

Another lovely spring morning

,

Thought I might as well post a picture while I wait for my PC to finish installing updates...

It's a lovely spring morning here, sunshine, blue skies, the trees and shrubs have new leaves and half of the ones outside my office window are flowering. Hence lovely green/white/purple mass of vegetation.

For myself, I'm not in as good nick as the weather and plants. Overslept this morning and am feeling distinctly iffy. Hopefully I'll perk up to match the planet later on

Back to work on a beautiful day

,

Well, having finally slipped into holiday mode too late, I'm back at work now.

Earlier on it was a bit misty and grey (hence slightly murky photo), but now the sun is blazing down and it's ideal for lazing in the garden. So am stuck in my office. Sod's law strikes again.

Anyway, the blossom is out all over the place. The photo is from my office window.

Spring is sprung

Buttercups in my unkempt lawn.

A relaxing day

,

It's another lovely spring day here today, and I'm having a nice day doing nothing much.

Our local Tesco seems to have sprouted a windmill. Knowing me, it's probably been there for ages, but I've only just noticed it. I find windmills cheery things, and oddly reassuring for some reason.

Sunny Saturday

,

Well it looks like a lovely day outside, though I haven't been out yet.

I'm having a slow start to the day after a broken night's sleep. Which I could have done without as I was shattered last night and it would have been good to start my holidays with a good day, especially as I have to take my Dad shopping this afternoon. Which isn't a huge chore or anything, but as I have ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome I like to be sure I have enough energy reserves for such things so I don't end up laid low for days.

Anyway, with a bit of luck it should be a nice drive in the sunshine this afternoon and I'l be able to chill pleasantly tomorrow rather than spend the day asleep.

A grey day

,

Well, it's a miserable bloody day here today, as you can doubtless gather from the photo - though it's gloomier in real life. Grey and damp. Bleugh.

However, I'm slightly demob happy as after today I have a fortnight off so I'm looking forward to some quality time doing as little as possible!

Edit: Oh for pity's sake, what is the matter with this dratted blog? Now the method which worked a couple of days ago (email with attachment) hasn't worked today: the photo's gone AWOL. Sod it, I can't be bothered to mess about any more at the moment, or waste any more cash on data uploads which don't bloody work.

Later: OK I lied... but it beats me why some emails with a photo work and others don't. Same photo, by the way.

Later still: I've cleaned this up now and attached the photo to this post.
