TITANIC

when you look at this, it is hard to believe that this hunk of ice was behind the tragedy of the Titanic. This photo of the ice berg as well as 2 others in existence was snapped by a passenger on the Carpathia, the ship that answered the Titanic's SOS calls.

It wasn't just the iceberg that sunk the Titanic. It had lots of help, in the form of:

* arrogance: the belief that the ship was unsinkable
* indifference to life: the reduction in the number of lifeboats
* greed: sacrificing safety
* ignorance: the crew not paying attention to the weather

The same forces are sinking our "Unsinkable Ship" today, even without the help of the iceberg.

True!!! Same thing as i commented earlier that it was the pride of the captain tha sunk down the unsinkable actually and yes charlie u've xplained it in an even better way ...

@nonzionist Very true..i hope that this Titanic does not sink because it is not just a ship but a lot more than that for at least some of US..

@piiiya yup i rmbr u poiting out the captain's pride and yes ur again right that NonZionist said it in a very convincing and impressive way!

Piiiyapiiiya Wednesday, January 6, 2010 4:57:54 PM

Yeah..

NonZionist Wednesday, January 6, 2010 6:49:49 PM

Piiiya! It's nice to see that we agree! smile

It is said that "Pride precedes the fall". Do you think the current political-economic system is another Titanic? Our rulers certainly have no shortage of arrogance!

Piiiyapiiiya Wednesday, January 6, 2010 6:56:49 PM

True! I agree!
