There is no rest for the weary in Cars 2 movie and this does not exclude Lightning McQueen who has just returned to his hometown of Radiator Springs as a four-time Piston Cup champion. He would like nothing more than to settle down quietly with his significant other Sally Carrera but he is talked into joining the race circuit once again by his relentless friend Mater.

Vehicles from east, west, north and south are all being directed to meet for the World Grand Prix to find out who is the speediest and so Miles Axlerod may endorse his new gas. Mater’s advice may not have been adequate on its own to convince McQueen but after being challenged by rival Francesco Bernoulli he cannot possibly shy away.

He would never hear the end of things if he did not make the trip so McQueen decides his holiday can wait until he has added another accolade to his already remarkable resume.

Little does he know that there is far to more the situation than meets the eye and it will be a lot more perilous than he thinks. There are some folks who do not want the special fuel to take off, in particular those who depend on oil sales for their profits and livelihood. Cars 2 movie will keep you on your toes all throughout it and the characters themselves will be taken aback when racers are blown up all around them. McQueen has never enjoyed many of Mater’s antics and when the latter gives him information that hinders his performance it turns out to be the last straw. Mater is sent back home all alone but he gets instantly recruited by a couple of spies who have been following the racing tragedies in detail. The spies believe the tow truck is an informant they are looking for in Cars 2 movie but he does not disappoint them even though he is not.

Although McQueen has always been the star, Mater could turn out to be the hero if he can focus his energy and work together with his new friends. Nothing will be handed to him and he will have to earn every ounce of praise but Cars 2 movie would not be as compelling if things were any different.

If you are more in the mood for magic and witchcraft you may be more inclined to go see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie. Being the finale of the saga that started years ago it is sure to be action packed and full of surprises and original resolutions.
