Psalms of My Heart

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You - Psalms 19:14

Chapter 264: Hiatus

I realised I haven't been blogging for so long!

Twitter has officially killed my Opera.

Chapter 263: Weekend Updates

I'm kinda broke, but I still managed to afford an imported Green Day CD, 21st Century Breakdown.

Haha, what can I say? I so love modern rock!

Anyway, I came back home from work the other day and found a letter on top of my table... from BCM. I opened it, and found out that I got an A- for Youth Culture. Frankly, I was too tired to ponder; just kept thinking about my bed that night. But I'm glad that I did well for it.

So I am really looking forward for my next one, Youth Leadership.

Gotta nail this coming assignment first!

Thank you Lord for seeing my cell through these years - we have finally multiplied! I really need to pray for a strategy to reach out to the colleges in the coming months. Oh Lord, grant me wisdom and strength.

Just have to step out in faith and move forward!

Chapter 262: Moving Forward

What a powerful song which speaks of faith, declaration and release!

God reminded me so much about letting go and moving forward in His will, as the chorus resounds like a resonating tuning fork - over and over and over again. It really is a breakthrough song...

Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 3:13-14

Chorus:

I’m not going back – I’m moving ahead
I’m here to declare to You my past is over
In You old things are made new
Surrendered my life to Christ
I’m moving, moving forward

Verse:

What a moment – You have brought me to
Such a freedom I have found in you
You’re the healer who makes all things new
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah

You have risen – with all power in Your hands
You have given me a second chance
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah

Bridge:

You make all things new
And You make all things new
And I will follow You forward

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
- 2 Corinthians 5:17

Chapter 261: Arggghhh!

Arghhh, I burned my forearm at the Amana toaster!

I bought some medication to prevent it from getting worse-lah.

Now there's one big, ugly wound at my forearm - blistering and some skin being pulled off as a result.

I just hope that it won't scar!

Chapter 260: Jericho

Currently reading the book of Joshua and researching on his leadership styles for presentation.

Not exactly hard actually, given that I've read this book more than all my fingers can count...

...but I hate researching!

Gotta' come out with some substance before Monday :ko:

Thank God for Karen in my team - she is definitely a big, big plus to the team!

Chapter 259: Hello Hartamas

I'm no longer in Curve anymore...

So guys, please don't come and find me for free drinks, lest you will be disappointed. Instead, just head over to HSC, and I will personally guarantee you a 7-star service :coffee:

Hartamas Shopping Centre, here I come!

Despite everything, probably the only upsetting thing about working there is the parking fees, which is terribly expensive (at least to me). Just today, the parking had cost me a dear RM 5.50 - super ouch lah! Can you imagine in a month, it will be approximately RM 160?!

God, please pour out Your financial blessing into my life right now, just like the story of the widow with the empty jars. Let it flow abundantly, don't stop the oil until it overflows!

To be honest, I kinda like the working hours there:

Opening shift: 8.00 a.m until 4.00 p.m
Closing shift: 1.30 p.m until 9.30 p.m

I generally end my shift rather early, compared to usual. That means I have more 'time' to prepare myself in between, especially like rushing to church after work, attending BCM night classes and even yum cha after working hours. So cool..

But nothing comes easy...
Time to buck up, and start performing in Hartamas!

Chapter 258: Viva La Vida

I thought I was fit enough to play futsal, but unfortunately I'm not.

The fact that I vomited halfway between one of thee games and constantly panting or gasping for air just show how unfit I am. At least I scored a goal towards the end - some form of consolation to my ego. To be honest, I didn't even know that I scored until Levi pointed it to me.

In my mind, I was thinking, "Must be some chicken goal, or I was really blur."

Anyway, I was probably in a 'zoned-out' mode - managing only 3 hours of sleep the night before. I seriously need to stop those midnight guitar jamming and start sleeping normally. If not, I'll turn into a zombie rip

Sorry sidetracked...

To cut the long story short, I came back home with a broken pair of futsal boots, a whole bag of dirty clothes, socks, keys... all but my black working shoes! Oh no, how am I going to work tomorrow? I think I'll just wear my formal leather shoes lah! I'll get a new pair of shoes tomorrow, sigh.

I shall slip myself back to Viva La Vida...

P.S: Thank you N for dropping by. I am very encouraged by your email. I sincerely hope that you will find a suitable church in Ipoh. Let me know if you need help. Best regards, Case.

Chapter 257: Letting My Sail Up

I am a boat in the midst of the ocean.

The storm is hitting me from all directions, but there is a peace that surpasses all understanding.

I need to trust God for a direction; for Him to blow my sail and lead me to wherever He wants me to be.

Will I let my sail up?

For God said, "Be still, and know that I am God" - Psalms 46:10

"Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus" - Phillippians 3:13

"And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you" - Philippians 3:15

Thank you for your prayers Jon and Karen.
