Christmas Eve 2006 - Hungry Ghost

Christmas Eve between 6:55 and 7:00pm - We had a latish dinner. More details on my blog in a day or so. In any event around the specified time, vegetables were being prepared for roasting. So just before this sequence of pictures, CA, under the supervision of DW2 was busy cutting up vegetables. Then the chopped up veggies (carrots, onions, peppers, beets) were poured into a pan with extra-extra-extra virgin olive oil, secret herbs that ML and DW2 can't tell us about or they'd have to kill us, were added. CA was told to scrub his fingers well and to toss the vegetables, in a Nigella Lawson manner, but without the undulating or ululating. Once tossed, DW2 snatched the pan, and spread out the vegetables on a roasting pan. Once spread out, CA was told to move certain pieces to obtain the correct degree of spread that satisfied DW2's high aesthetic standards. Finally, a rigorous inspection by the master chef, DW2, before the pan was placed in the oven.
And that was what happened Christmas Eve around 7 pm in Hungry's little life.
