Awesomenauts
- 3 players, 2d shooting game that you can play vs. 3 computers that have good AI or versus other players.
Capsized
- 2 players, 2d shooter with puzzles. Looks good and nice music.
Dead Pixels
- 2 players, 8-bit zombie killing side scroller.
Dogfight 1942
- 2 players, you play as the Allies during WWII.
Dungeonland
- 3 players, an RPG set in an amusement park. It only got 67 from metacritic but it's really fun to play with 2 friends. Like most of these games it's the local co-op that makes them good.
Gatling Gears
- 2 players, top down, guess you would call it a bullet hell game.
Jamestown
- 2-4 players, top down bullet hell. My second favourite co-op after Renegade ops.
Renegade Ops
- 2 players, a beautiful shooter. Only game together with Jamestown on this list I'd recommend even without the co-op element.
Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken
- 2 players, I was a bit disappointed by this game, saw videos from single player that showed flying with jet packs among other things that you didn't get to do in co-op mode. The co-op campaign was very short (<2h) and too easy for the most part. A side scrolling 2d shooter with a little puzzle element. For $5 it was still a good buy though.
Trine 1 or 2
- 2-3 players, side scrolling action, puzzle and platform. I played the first game, liked it, then played Trine 2 and it was the exact same game. If other people have recommendation please add, I am interested in finding more games myself
