- Adding a search item in the right click menu to search for selected text
Add the following to standard_menu.ini found usually in C:\Program Files\Opera\defaults
[Hotclick Popup Menu] Item, IMDB = "Go to page, "http://us.imdb.com/find?q=%t;tt=on;nm=on;mx=20",,,"none"" - Tip when using the Right Click Menu:
When you right-click on a link, the context menu includes: Open -> Enter; Open in new page -> Shift + Enter; Open in background page -> Ctrl + Shift + Enter. These modifiers are actually fairly universal in Opera. That is: any time you're doing a mouse action which opens something in the current page, then Shift + that action opens it in a new page; Ctrl + Shift + that action opens it in a background page.
Thus, to open a non-linked URL in a background page: highlight the URL, right-click the highlight, hold Ctrl + Shift, and choose "Go to URL"!
