Aberration

Tonight I had other priorities which I'd better be doing, instead of letting myself drifted in the stream of time - or timelessness.
Suddenly I felt the air moving around my ears - the headset was taken away. I turned round to find him standing behind me, smirking. "Metallica and Macbeth, what a combination." He glanced at the book loosely held in my hand. For an instant, I didn't know what was going on. Ohhh.
I almost forgot that today, as well as many next days, I wasn't the only one in the house. He would be here with me. After 11 months or so, again he is with me. "Don't you go to sleep?" I asked.
"Jet lagged." He answered briefly, settling himself on the top of my desk. We stared at each other in silence - he confidently, me cautiously. "You just want to see me sleeping." I finally concluded.
"Awwk..." His eyes moved from me to the floor, fingers scratching his head. "Maybe..."
I laughed, got up, amused by his unexpected shyness. "You are so cute."
"Cute?"
"Yeah."
"Hey... I'm mildly insulted..." He said while pulling me closer.
The rain was still annoying me; I couldn't even hear my voice clearly. The wind blew through one of the windows in the house, making a loud "bang" somewhere upstairs. We instinctively casted an eye up the ceiling, as if we could have seen through it to see that noisy sound-maker. But all there was was the spinning fan and the solid, concrete ceiling - or floor, whatever. He giggled.
"Oh... c'mon boy... you know that you are cute." I poked him, somewhat timidly - at least in my opinion. He laughed. "I'll go and shut down all the windows, so they won't scare you anymore."
And he came back after 5 minutes. "Done", he reported. Well, I thought. Well, yeah. Now, seems like everything is back to normal, ain't it?
