Responsibility?

I guess there's nothing like looking at the LCD at 11pm, reading complaints post after post. And there, I read comments about D. and his email on responsibility again.
By somebody unknown:
D., if you are so concerned about people taking responsibility for their actions, than why the f*ck did you sent a letter last christmas to say that you where not responsible for the "follow the money" letter...
You thought that up with lim, and you let lim take the fault for it.. i know that lim was the one that ultimatly put it on paper but don't start writing letters about people taking responsibility if you yourself do not have the guts to do so!
Haha, I thought. Haha. Well said. Now, after enough amusement, is it just me... or there is something that D. doesn't seem to get?
A brave one is someone who crosses Niagara Fall walking on a string. A wise one is someone who doesn't. Don't get me wrong, there is a huge difference between crossing Niagara Fall on a string and jumping into Niagara to save a life. If it doesn't bring anybody any good, boy, if it doesn't improve anything, don't bring it up. Let it be. Live with the fact that not everyone lives up to your values.
And D., you know what? You don't have to insult others to be frank.
Someone tell me, what's wrong with the fear of ending up like Lenard? What's wrong with the fear of being suspended? What's wrong with caring about yourself and your future? If there is a way so that you can express yourself without these fears, why should it be criticized? If you want to take responsibilities, fine, name yourself. Don't ask people to do what you think.
Egoism. Arrogance. Impatience. Don't you know how to listen?
Before you call anybody coward, learn that there are those who do things not because they want to be the ones who do it, but because they want it to be done. Uh huh, just do things when they need to be done. There are ways to get them done while not hurting yourself.
Criticize me. However you want. I don't look at life like you do. I just don't live up to your values. Not that I didn't feel some of the values were missing. I just accepted that if I went after one value, I would have to let go of some others.
But don't criticize my position of judging. Playing hero, taking responsibilities? Been there, done that. But I do not have to tell you.
Usually in blog posts like this, I don't directly name names. But this is an exception. This is a direct response to your "responsibility" and "anti-anonymity" manner.
Just get things done when they need to be done.
So goodbye, yellow brick road
Where the dogs of society howls
You can't plant me in your penthouse
I'm going back to my plough
Back to the howling old own in the wood
Hunting the horny back toad
Oh I've finally decided my future lies
Beyond the yellow brick road...
I was arguing with myself... like this.
That's escaping, right?
- For your future.
But that's still escaping.
- But that's the right thing to do. If not, what should we do then?
I'm not saying that it's not the right thing to do. But it's the right thing to do doesn't deny the fact that it's escaping.
- Can we do otherwise?
Yeah, there are plenty of options. Do nothing is the worst. But how about something like... to make the yellow brick road a better place?
- Haha. How do you know if it can be better? Do you even know what's wrong with it?
It's where the dogs of society howl. Where mongrels who ain't got a penny sniffing...
- Is it the problem? I think the problem is with the "you" in the song.
She's the tidbit. Or might be the hunter, I don't even know. Either way, you can try to enlighten her or something like that. But...
- Yeah?
But your future lies beyond that, right?
- Sometimes it's not just about your own future.
What do you expect him to do? Be a saver?
Well, right. What did I expect him to do? First, he doesn't live up to my values. Second, what's wrong for him to be concerned about his future?
Ideals and reality are different (sigh).
