I did predict this. The investigation is not complete, but the assumption of guilt is clear despite military investigators concluding the other massacre accusation was false.

Sweetness & Light is all over the story. Keep scrolling. Among other things, he questions the terrorist sympathies of the doctor who claimed the victims were shot at close range and the reporter who broke the story, who had been in jail for terror ties.

Michelle is ranting about Times of London story which used photos from a previous massacre by terrorists as though they were pictures of the Haditha dead. Note the handcuffs and firing squad setting.

Rick Moran has the same take that I do: the Left will beat over the head with Haditha for the entire summer.

Haditha has handed our foreign enemies a propaganda victory. Why does the domestic left have to assist them in this? The answer to that question is simple; because both the insurgents in Iraq who are killing Americans and our domestic left have the exact same agenda; the defeat of the United States in Iraq. Jed Babbin:

First, the left will use every tool at their disposal to ensure that the Haditha incident becomes synonymous with the entire Iraq war. Abu Ghraib proved a propaganda bonanza for the terrorists and nations such as Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia that want us to withdraw from Iraq in defeat. Haditha – regardless of what the facts may turn out to be – will be used ceaselessly and purposefully to eliminate American support for the Iraq war and to demonize anyone who still supports it.

The terrorists are watching. They see what happens when allegations are made against the military. And they are smart enough to begin spreading new allegations themselves. Or worse, massacring civilians with the intent of blaming the US.

But then, America deserves it because we are uniquely evil, right?

I will wait for the investigation to end before worrying too much. If the marines are guilty, hang them. If they are innocent, I know not to expect apologies from The Nation, the BBC or any other media outlet.
