Those delightful young Canadians had big plans: blow up Parliament, behead PM Stephen Harper, then spray the crowds with gunfire. Or the target could be the Toronto Stock Exchange, depending on which source you believe.
They have had their first court hearings. Charges are listed here. The police were required to attend sensitivity training before the raid, including how to correctly handle the Koran, and prayer mats were acquired for the comfort of the detainees. Canadians are so....compassionate. Or something.
Nine of the 17 attended a terror training camp, and 2 were already in jail for attempting to smuggle weapons and ammunition into Canada.
