Day Off

I see nothing has happened today. See the gloom and doom posts from the past 2 days to see what is being said today. Oddly, I am a day or two ahead of some of the blogs on posts.
That means I can go back to sleep knowing that you, my readers, are safely up to date.
Ok, the Brits are talking about profiling Muslims:
More Syrian and Russian weapons found in Lebanon: "Written underneath a contract number on each casing were the words: 'Customer: Ministry of Defence of Syria. Supplier: KBP, Tula, Russia.'" Saus has info on the nasty little RPG that is being supplied.
You can't take books or magazines on flights out of the UK. Engadget found the answer to your reading needs.
The Scots want to outlaw buying a round of drinks for friends. This shocks me...liberty, freedom: what the hell is the government doing messing with things like buying drinks for your friends in a bar?
You are officially up to date.

Ok, the Brits are talking about profiling Muslims:
The passenger-profiling technique involves selecting people who are behaving suspiciously, have an unusual travel pattern or, most controversially, have a certain ethnic or religious background.
The system would be much more sophisticated than simply picking out young men of Asian appearance. But it would cause outrage in the Muslim community because its members would be far more likely to be selected for extra checks.

That goes to my "Garbage Out" philosphy. Or, as a teacher of mine used to say, "everything and anything follows from a false proposition." When you get to the point where you can't read book on a plane, something is wrong somewhere. And I don't mean just "terrorism."
