Noida, widgets, json, CDAC
During the sessions we had told you about how you can store data in a widget, I have modified that sample to store objects and arrays in the widget. I have also included a sample of how you can store information in an
Object or an
Array and then convert that
Object into a string which you can store using
widget.setPreferenceForKey. The sample also includes code that shows you to convert back the
JSON string into an
Object.
StoreData.zip This is a sample widget that shows you how you can store/retrive JSON data in a widget. Its a modifed version of the widget that we had made during the seminar.
JSONExample.zip This is a simple example that shows you how JSON can be used to represent objects and arrays as a string.
Here are some links that will give you some more information about JSON and the widget object in JavaScript
If you need any other help or tutorials do leave your comments here and we will get back to you.
And do check out the photo album here, we've uploaded pics from the event
