Every time Opera updates my Speed Dial thumbnails get messed up. And, I always forget what the solution is, so instead of spending time searching I'm putting the solution here so next time I don't have to waste time looking.
has the basics.
My thumbnails (which I made myself) have been write protected for years. All I have to do is:1. point at a thumb
2. right click -> Reload Every -> any value except Never
3. right click -> Reload (should create a full page thumb)
4. right click -> Reload Every -> Never
make sure each Dial has this line:Reload Policy=0
That should basically do the trick

link to review
Nice to see a positive and accurate review of my favorite browser. I've used geeks.com services several times over the years. They have a newsletter they send out regularly and this is the latest.

I found myself on this page: Demo of Animated Pngs
and realized that Opera (using 10.10) can view APNGs. This isn't much of a surprise. However, Opera users should be shouting this from their rooftops.
Not to mention making Apngs to show off Opera. When I have a moment I may try my hand at this.

The original image IS 1600 x 1200 pixels......uploading it to a photo album seems to have shrunk it
If I figure out how to change that I'll return. Anyway, the image is of cherry blossoms in New York. I did this to make a Speed Dial background. I mean, what the heck. How hard can that be?
ok, I'm BAAAACK!
I uploaded the image to my "files' and here is the link
Let's see how this works:
looks like I did it!!
