18 December 2009 Sunday Klinovec

Hi There!
On sunday, we were at skiing and it was my first official skiing.I must thank for all to Petra (Pepa), Jitka and jitka's bf. All were great. Pepa was incredibly good and she arranged everything. I must appreciate her help. By the way, if she read this blog she will not be so happy because she doesn't like to be called as "Pepa" in the public.

We left prague on saturday afternoon and we stayed at Pepa's family. They were really great, too. I must thank them for their great hospitality and smiling face and great support and help. It was really great to understand that people are not so different even they have different nationalities. We had a task given by Pepa's mom to set an IKEA table. We started doing and then his father came and said sth..then Pepa was angry and she left. I didn't understand why and then she explained me that he was giving us a piece of mind instead of doing but when pepa offered him to do it..He said he didn't mean he could do it. I guess i know some similiar people in my life..so cultures change, but personalities are the same.it was good experience for me. I think this experience will be among the unforgetable things from CR.

On Sunday morning when alarm went off we were crying to sleep a little bit longer. However, we had to get up and we did..but i must appreciate her mom because she prepared me a cup of tea and sweet for breakfast. it was just as my mom does.. I guess this was a sign that mothers are identical all around the world :-) This was another good experience. Finally, we were on the way to Klinovec but it was a very silent trip because everybody was missing their beds. When we get there we rent the ski equipment and we we were ready to go.. the hardest part was to walk with ski shoes. and then using the lift was another challange. When i was up i just realized that i can not go down without skiing or walking..then i had to learn how to stand and i started working hard. i found a small path for me and i practised. Pepa helped me a lot so i must send her a special apperication because of her endless patience and help..when skiing was over, we hade small snacks from pepa's mother in the back bag with some tea and we enjoyed them while making critic of the day..

It was a great weekend with great people..I will remind it for the rest of my life..

When we were back in the end of

November 4 Tuesday, 2008

After a very long time, what i have to write. Hmm let me think..I change my job. Now, I am working for Oracle as business development Consultant. There are less people in the office but everybody is ambitious. I can say it is a better company in many aspects in comparasion to Exxonmobil :-) at least the coffee is much better and there is free banana :-))

Next week on Monday I am leving to Dublin for training for 18 days. I am very excited and looking forward .. I applied for visa on Monday and got it on Tuesday. I guess this was the shortest time i had to wait to get a visa :-))The girl in the embassy was so helpful and cheerful :-)

I met some new Turkish exhange students from Vilnius. They were here for one weekend, I was with them to show Prague but finally OSman showed us everywhere and i am thankful to him..He is really great guide ..He had a group of teachers from turkey and they were pretty funny :-)

And I met finall a very pretty girl.. It is not easy with her but it is great :-)) I forget the time sometimes when i am with her.. She is Czech and soon i can upload some photos :-))

Rock for People

Ok, I am back to write you about Rock for People which was the first festival that i visited in Czech Republic. Let's start with the guys who i was there with; Romana and Murat :-)

First day, thursday, I left office for Hradec Kralove where the festival was. We caught the train just before the rain started. Our trip was not so extraordinary but it was enjoyable as every trip with murat. We met Romana and set the tent. After this we set forth discoverin the festival area, first of i got mat since i had no mat.. it was a nice present from T-mobile. When we got it, we just realized that it started raining, so need of raincoat raised. Our saver was T-mobile again because they were distributing free raincoat :-) I love this company i guess i will change from Vodafone to T-mobile :-)

Than we were hungry and we found the best chicken grill..it was really delicious. After dinner, we headed off to "The Locos" concert. Of course, we got our beer on the way, i do not even need to emphasize this tiny detail since all you can think about it :-) This group is spanish and this was my first time i had a chance to listened to them but definetely i can say that they are a great festival band :-) They delight you.. You can feel the music in your blood :-)

Our second concert for that night was Krasier Chiefs, but they were totally crap so i didn't waste my time to listen to them. We went to the tea room to drink tea and smoke waterpipe as it was the best option to be done in a rainy and horrible concert :-)

When we decided to sleep we realized that Romana& Murat's tent was a little swimming pool so we slept all the together in my tent :-) I had one snoring neighour and one lovely couple who were talking all the night and morning :-) i think they didn't sleep at all :-)

Mornings were great because i had chance to find free showers :-) every morning there were a long que in front of girl's shower and it was nice too see all the girls together :-))

Second day, the best concert was Para and The Offspring, krystof :-)

Third day's groups were; Karras, Gipsy.cz, Treslac, Sto zavirat, massive attack. They were definetely great :-)

It was a great festival. Very well organized .

Keep smiling :-)

21.06.2008 UNITED ISLANDS OF PRAGUE

After a very very long time i am back here to write another nice day, there were many great days to write but i had no feeling to write ..

So let's start to give the details about saturday. The festival started on Thursday but i was there only on Saturday since on thursday i was in the party organized by my company and on fRiday we were wacthing the national team against Crotia :-) The festival started in the morning and went on till the midnight. I was with Murat and Romana on Stereckly Ostorov . We were listening Rock music. There were jazz on Kampa, hip hop on other island. I actually do not remember exactly the program since i was mainly interested in rock :-))

Wen i arrived there i first listened a group which is called "toxic". They were pretty cool group. Then there was a break and we drank beer by Vlatava with friends until the next concert. Secondly, we listened to another group but i do not remember the name because they were not so good. Then we went to eat sth but there was a long queue so we decided to go out of the island. We went to the Lebanease retaurant which is very close :-) we ate and smoked waterpipe and came back. We listened to "The kloot" it was pretty good. The favortie words of the singer were " fucking and disaster" all the songs were about disasters and sth else :-))

I will write again soon, i am going to another festival :-) Rock for People :-))

05-06 . 04. 2008 Cesky Krumlov

Hi there!

This weel i was in Cesky Krumlov with my team for weekend to spend the money we won from the internal competition in the company.

First of all, I must say that choice was great. Cesky Krumlov was on of the best places i have seen so far. It was small but marvelous. It is very small town which is very ancient at the same time. It has an historical square as many other towns have. There is a statue to prague the city from plague. I guess it medieval. The square ıs surrounded by hotels. We were staying in one of these hotels. The hotel has 4 starts but it was a topic of debate all the weekend if it deserves all the stars.. it is still a question mark.. We arrived and checked in and then set to see the town. We started with the castle since it was the biggest and most visible object in the town. We walked through the courtyards and went up the tower to take a look at the town. There was a garden next to the castle but to be honest, It was not so interesting since the trees were naked. In my opinion, visiting the garden in spring or summer might very interesting. There was an open air theather in the garden which was quite interesting..

After charmed by the beauty of the castle and the view of the city, we got ourself in the street of the old towns. When we noticed that were hungry and thirsty, the restaurant we were looking for was in front of us. We enjoyed " Eggeberg". IT was pretty good beer and very cheap surprisingly :-)

After restaurant we walked in the streets of the town. When we arrived the hotel we gave a break until the dinner. We met for dinner at 8 and found a czech restaurant. I tried "duck". It was the first in my life. It was not so bad and not good. Unfortunately, I can evaluate it as average. Next destination was "le Bohemie " to have some drinks before we headed down " Hrozen Disco". This club was really horrible. All the night was playing songs from 80's and 90s. We had fun after enough beer :-))Alcohol is always around to turn bad into good :-))

I am tired a bit now but this trip was really great :-) I recommend everybody to see this town :-))

30.03.2008

Hi back!

I know I haven't written for a long time but there were nothing which is quite interesting. I have been te Karlovy Vary and Brno. Small but lovely cities. There are spas in karlovy Vary. there are so many Russian and Russian thing around. I guess it is a popular destination for rich Russian.

Today, I was in Breclav and met Zuzu, Jano and Jitka ( friends of my momy). Mom and jano is the same. I had the same fun as i had last year. Jitka is a cool girl. She is too tired to speak English but she has good sense of humour and she is the best guide i have ever seen. The only problem, she goes everywhere very fast :-)) I can understand this because she has longer legs than me.. I am just effective in short distance..

We were in Lednice. We saw the castle and then the park. There was orientic minaret in the park. It was built by noble man. The reason was that oriental figures were popular and he wanted to have something different. Minaret was a bit damaged by flood but it is still in quite good situation..

On the back way, I met Petra who is my colleague. IT was completely great surprise. We came till Prague together and we had great fun :-) I met a girl whose name was Martina, she is studying Mathematic in Charles University. she was studying for her test on Tuesday. I would like to thank her since she had dedicated sometime for me and talked with me :-) I practised my Czech. To see Martina please take a look at photos :-)

So that's all for today, I am tired and sleepy..

25-27 January 2008 - WE WERE IN BUDAPEST

We were on the way to Budapest when our clocks showed 3.pm. We left the company. It was already obvious that we would have fun. The travelling team consisted of great members. Caner, Murat, Aytek, Ego and Mehmet.

The first task to do was to find a way how to mix vodka with Cherry juice. We were discussing this all the way. On the bus station first incident happened. City policed took 100 CZK from our guy since they were smoking in the bus station ;-) It is forbidden to smoke in the bus stations in CR. There is a such a law. Second incident happened when the steward told us that it was forbidden to drink alcohol in the bus. BUt this means the bus company can sell you beer and you can drink Beer but you can not drink your own alcohol..anyway, We started to talk and when stop talking for the first time we were in Brno. Aytel made his first great sentence that we would laugh about it all the trip and after..We were talking about sth on the way and when we arrived in Brno, we started talking about the same thing and he said " what are you talking about ? " And I asked him back " Where were you? " "Were you with us on the bus with us? " His answer was "No" :-)

In Bratislava we had two empty water bottle and we started the operation. We mixed the vodka and Cherry juice. On the bus the steward caught Aytek while drinking and he told him he told us that it was forbidden to drink. he addided "Stop drinking wine" so we stoped drinking wine and we kept drinking Vodka :-)

When we were in Budapest it was 11 o'clock and Murat and I went with Csaba. We would stay with him. We went his home but he realized that he forgot his keys in his mother house.. So he left us in the city center. When we entered the pub it was midnight and to be honest, all the girls in the pub were ugly..So we decided to drink and dance..I was siting in the pub and drinking with Caner :-) I met 2 girls from Pakistan and they were so funny. They knew Turkish words ( actually all the curses in turkish "

We went home at 4 in the morning and woke up at 10 and started to wander in Budapest street. We saw the Castle, Church ( Matyas Church ), fisherman, Gul Baba, One Bazilika and we sat and ate sweeties and drank coffee. IT was already 7 o'clock. We enjoyed the smiling and helpful people all around Budapest. After PRague, there were no beauttiful gitls but there were so many nice people, which was really great and better than girls. In the evening we wanted to eat "Gulas" but we couldn't find the restaurant but we ate "Iskender" So It was great :-) Next stop was the club. We wanted to go to the "Dokk Club" but we noticed that there was a party in " Studio" which was just next to the club. We saw the most beautiful girls in Budapest and i guess they were the richest at the same time :-) The party was unbelievable.Guys were comparing it with Sensetion white all the way back. On the back way, we took the metro:-) Hungarian metro's looks like "supermario" train and you have a feeling that you have to collect the mushrooms all along the way ;-)

Next morning, We were in Hamam and relaxing and enjoying the hot water. After Hamam, we were in Burger King which was another thing that you can not find in Prague.

All I remember from Budapest is Aytek's great sentences, supermario train, money with 4 zeros and to be able to buy sth you should have so many banknote :-) and of course, hungarian changes. you may have tens of them but you can not buy anything :-) Turkish restaurants, smiling people, nice weather, Hamam, and the steward from student agency with his frowning face:-)

Nowadays, we are planning the nex destination :-) If you have any suggestion please write it here :-)

Januarry 1 2008

Ok. Today is the first day in 2008 and my new year has started great. I saw a Xmas in Czech Republic. I saw all the preparations and excitement of the people. Everybody was running for shopping like a crazy. There were "Carp" everywhere on the way. This is a traditional Czech fish and every family buys at least one fish :-) when i read about the quantity of consumption of this fish, i was really shocked :-) Amazing, In turkey, we do not even care about this fish or any sweet fish but here people are crazy about them. I think that's because we are surrounded by 3 seas :-) I love my country.

Before Xmas I met Zdenek and we walked together around Pilsen. I must say that i was impressed by this small city. It is so small but very lovely. It has a very nice square and nice streets. It was -4 C when i was there and all the trees were covered by snow. Please check the photos from Pilsen :-) then we went with Zdenek to the pub to drink some beer. This is the bestt pub I have ever been so far. You go and sit. The waitor comes and asks you what to drink. When you say beer, he brings you the empty glass :-) your beer is on the table. you can serve your own beer and you can see how much you have drunken on the display of your tap :-) and every table has the same system. All tables are connected to a big screen where you can see your drinking score :-) your comparation to other tables :-) Perfect pub :-) Please take a look at Pilsen Photos :-)

And of course, my New Year Eve's, It was a great night. I had never had such a wonderful new year. We started at Ebru's flat ( Ebru is sister of Cansu ). We were 11 people. Cansu's parents, her sister and sister's husband, Huseyin ( Cansu's brother and new "KANKA" ) :-) One Ukrainian girl and paki guy ( actually they were married :-) ) They were a nice couple smile sarat and Olga.. Sarat is cool guy.. :-) I hope I will come across with him again :-)

We were dancing and drinking. Then at midnight we were at Petrin to see the fireworks and drink champaigne. I had a very funny photo. I will upload them soon. I think after last night i am famous in Russia and America. The last thing i remember was 3 beautiful girls were screaming to have photo with me :-) and then americans. of course, we shouldn't forget the Czechs :-) It was a great night.

After Petrin, we went to Emre's flat and I wanted to leave at 3 o'clock but i forget the street door was locked so I was stucked for a while between the flat's door and street doors and I was ringing the bell for 15 minutes :-) I must apologize from Yener and Emre :-)

Well, that is for now ..

P.S 1 : Happ new Year :-)

P.S 1 : If you read my diary, can you comment ? I want to see how many people read it :-)

December 8 2007

After a long time i am writing again. The time i was no writing here i made some interesting things. I went to the cinema. I saw 2 movies. "Once" and " Beowolf" The first one was interesting because the girl was playing there is a Czech girl. The movie was great because it was about a case from the real life and there were some czech sentences in the movie. Some Czech people didn't like the movie because they think the girl acting the czech girl wa not looking like a Czech girl. Her dressing way was like Rumanian. By the way, Czech girls usually wear mini-skirt or trousers. This girl was wearing long skirt all the movie. She was more like a slovakian girl :-) In my opinion, the movie and actor, actress was great.Great performance and soundtracks..

December 8 was pretty good. I was at home during the day and cleaning around. This week was my turn. I spent 2 hours.Lenka, my flatmate, didn't complain. I was suprised. I think i cleaned the flat ver well or she decided i am hopeless and i will never be able to clean the flat in the right way. She just accepted me in the way i am :-) I still have to take the carbage out and i will do it right away after i finish writting here.

In the evening i was in a Xmas party organized by portugeese friends. Miguel, Ricardo, Rita and Patricia ( by the way she has just become supervisor ) hehe :-) they were so nice last night and we had great fun. As all the portugeese i have met so far, these guys are great too. The Sangria was very good. Even better than the one i always drink in Cafe popo de petl. And the Xmas fish was really delicious. I must confess it is better than Czech Xmas fish :-). Of course, Carrot and potatoe soup was pretty good. I think Portugal is a good country to live and to be fat :-) and they are funny people too. They have a song while drinking vodka.. I need to learn this song :-)

Tomorrow I am going to take some photos in the old town. There is a great Xmas atmosphere. Everywhere was decorated ..Coming soon!!

summary of August and September

Well, I haven't written her for a long time because i didn't have internet connection and at my work place there was no time to write or to surf on the net so I will summarize you all the important events happened in 2 months.

I was in Jicin twice and I love this small town. I walked in every single street of town. It was really nice. First time i was alone and i was walking enjoying the sunshine. The second time, my guide was Bobo and I saw "Rumcajs Festival" It was a nice festival. I tried a kind of wine with honey which was hot. Its name was "Medevina" so it is on the list of favorite alcohol from Czech Republic. I saw a concert. I think name of the group was "Krystof". I met friends of Bobo who were really nice. I met his parents and sister and brother. His brother is a policeman in a close town to Jicin and he promised me take around of the town when he is patrol :-) great fine. This crazy brother mixed my Burcak with wine and the result ? it was horrible, I spent some time in toilet but it was good mixture. I may try it again :-)

Then I was in Liberec and I saw everywhere in this city. I love it more than Prague. Small, silent, clean, friendly people and many people speaking English. I was chatting with the sale guy while waiting for my cheese burger in MCDonalds. He is originally from Peru but he lives in Liberec. The zoo was fantastic with the botanica but I couldn't see anything from "Jested". I must go there again in a nice weather and I must take a look from this lovely hill to the city. We will go there again. I am looking forward to going there..By the way, I couldn't find a free seat on the bus so I couldn't go directly to Liberec. I took a bus to Jablonec nida Nisu and then luckily I met a girl in the bus station and trying to figure out the czech timetables. She showed me a better way to go to Liberec from there. There is a tram from this city to Liberec. It was the best tram way I have ever seen. Thank you "Daniela".

I was in Turkey in the beginning of October abd I brought everything i need. I am ready for long winter. I have my waterpipe and computer so I may stay in side when it is too cold. However, I want to spend some weekend to learn how to ski. I heard that there are some good places around Liberec so I will go there.. I will write here..don't worry :-)

In the Ramadan festival, we were out with friends and chatting, smoking waterpipe, drinking beer and so on. And then late in the night we went to Hradec Kralove with some friends to visit some clubs but they were horrible so we were dissappointed. Then we drove to Pardubice and there was a great pub there and we spent rest of the night there..

And I met an American girl and I want to go with her to visit some countries. She sounds to be a nice travel buddy. I will meet her on Sunday for dinner and I will see how it will work.

Today I have tried dark starapromen and potatoes soup in the bread. Soup was great but the beer was ok. I still prefer Kozel..

So I will write more and more when I know more and more about Czech Republic.
