On the weekend I went to the viking market at Roskilde Viking Ship Museum, and again last night I stood out and looked at the stars - this time with a friend who can't see them, and I recognised nothing although some shapes looked familiar. But the Southern cross and Orion (not even inverted, as I think of it) were not out at the time.
Tonight it is raining again in Oslo. learning about the stars here, where I so rarely see them, is harder than learning norwegian when everyone speaks english. At least I am making some progress in that.
