About me

I live in Bangalore City with my two dogs.. which i usually take to work with me. I play a lot of computer and console games.. PC is my preferred gaming platform.. after that its my android tablet.. Have been using Ubuntu on and off for a few years.. just made it the only OS on my workstation.. have no regrets. The Open Source world has got a firm grip on me now. :)

My work

I'm a digital artist, most of the time.. but quite often i delve into the physical space as well.. doing DIY stuff, recycling old bottles and cans.. etc.

I worked for 7+ years as a full time Web, Game designer at a design firm called Flip Design - www.flipdesign.in
I used to develop 2d and 3d content for web games and rich media websites(flash sites).

Currently freelance.

For 2d work, i stick to vector wherever i can.. using flash and illustrator most of the time.. and my android tablet or traditional medium(paper, pen) the rest of the time.

For the 3d stuff i used to use 3ds max most of the time.. but over the last few years made the transition to Blender3d... never looked back.

Why I choose the Opera browser

from the first time i started using opera(was version 6) i've known it to be the fastest browser you can find.. have always had issues with certain plugins.. but they always pulled through and fixed those bugs.. also i'd grown addicted to "tabbed" browsing right from the get go.. can't believe that IE and others took so long to adopt it :D .. for a brief period i started using Flock almost exclusively for my social networking needs, but then it became so slow.. i ditched it and have gone back to opera. I do use Chrome and IE ocasionally to check the web content i'm developing.. but thats just standard web design procedure.
