Heres the first few sketches i did this morning on my phone I used an app called Mobile Pencil 2.20 the author does have another app called Mobile Atelier 2.10 which is more advanced (fill tool...and some other stuff.), but i havnt quite gotten it to work well on my phone.
over the weekend while i was busy tinkering with my new phone, the rest of the guys: KT, Vinil and Arvind (at FL!P)put up a bamboo structure all around the garden area. Yesterday they went and got some net fabric and put up this awesome structure. Its actually keeping the place cool by blocking out just the right amount of sun, while letting in the air. Feels nice just walking around it.
Finally managed to get divx videos to play smoothly on my HTC P3470 today. I first tried the Sompy Media player, but it kept saying either " so and so codec not found" or "direct draw error" blah blah...(its supposed to be a really good player, but anyway i cant get it to work for me) finally i tried TCPMP (The Core Pocket Media Player) and it works like a charm! Its basically part of an opensource project, and has all kinds of codecs available to download as well.
I used Sompy MovieEncoder 1.0.0314 to encode the files, coz it does a good job of that atleast. Now i can watch kungfu panda on my pda!
Finally moved on from my trusty old Nokia Ngage QD. Basically i lost hope in nokia getting back to serious gameing. after seeing all the casual games on offer for the new ngage platforms, i decided to stop waiting. I'm happy with my psp when it comes to mobile gaming. Now it was time i got myself a gps and camera device. after much research this was what fit in my budget.
HTC Pharos 100 platform.

Games Java MIDP 2.0 works fine with games that don't need too many keys. games like midnight pool and tropical madness are working great coz they only need the d-pad
Am trying out a few 3d games, have got 2 3d aerial combat symulators: a dog fight game with older aircraft and a jet fighter game.
Cod2 by Aspyr runs a little sluggishly at times, which i expected anyway(considering your only supposed to be able to play it on a dell axiom or simillar device with a 400 MHz Intel XScale® processor), however i'm able to kill bad guys, and toss grenades, and move around...so we'll see how this goes . I still have to get a hang of the touchscreen based "look" controls. admittedly its not a great looking game, but like i said earlier, i do most of my mobile gaming on the psp anyway. will post on this later
Camera2 MP, 1600x1200 pixels, video, macro heres some pics i took this morning normal mode macro mode the normal mode / macro mode switch is a physical analog switch on the other side of the phone, so you can sometimes forget to switch modes, like i did in the above image of my hand(still on macro)
video can be recorded in either H.263 or mpeg4 heres a sample of H.263 once it gets processed by youtube
the original file was crystal clear, but the format just doesnt handle well on youtube. trying mpeg4 now.
indoors is quite bad, especially if your moving around a lot... coz it just cant focus or adjust white ballance fast enough.
heres a sample of mpeg4 once it gets processed by youtube
my verdic: H.263 may save space, but ultimately mpeg4 goes places.
Built-in GPS with some cool software that i havnt figured out yet more on this later
Pocket Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF viewer) no idea what i'l do with these right now....will see
Voice memo MP3/AAC player Video/audio album
Video palyback: so far its only played wmv's smoothly.. have tried divx, but havnt found any divx videos of the right size yet. running the average sized files results in a choppy, skipping experience
