UNESCO … No Double Standards Please…!!

, , , ,

Terrorism is not only a crime against humanity; it is an act of war. It is an act of armed aggression and a serious threat to any country's national security.
Unfortunately, even after some of the most horrifying acts of terrorism imaginable against innocent people, some responsible international diplomats show double standards when addressing global terrorist issues. The terrorists have been able to effectively use their comments on certain incidents and hide behind international organizations to justify their terrorist activities. It is sad to see how some officials belongs to reputed international organizations shelter criminals of humanity and some times treat them as heroes.

According to the UNESCO website, Director-General of UNESCO, Koïchiro Matsuura has reportedly have said that “Regardless of the content of the broadcasts aired by the Voice of Tigers, there can be no excuse for military strikes on civilian media”. I wonder how Mr. Koïchiro Matsuura call a radio station belongs to an internationally banned terrorist organization (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam) a civilian media. If he had made this comment on radio station belongs to Al-Quida he would have ended up in quit a bit predicament. Comments like Mr. Matsuura’s always provide sheltering to killers who are trying to hide behind the reputed international organizations in their attempt to destroy a country's right of sovereignty.

Terrorists are able to count on a variety of support: some provide tacit support—they are not prepared to give up terrorists; some provide papers or safe houses; and some give active support.
▪ If you harbor terrorists, you are a terrorist.
▪ If you assist with the arming and or training of terrorists, you are a terrorist.
▪ If you provide logistical or financial support for terror activities, you are a terrorist.
▪ If you work against those who are trying to hunt, capture or kill terrorists, you are a terrorist.
