Do you realize that every time you write a poem you are always grateful, that it does not matter what you write or how you write you always include the word thanks in it. It is kind of your own trade mark. I just never know what to expect when you write something. Sometimes it makes me wonder what your are thinking because sometimes when you write you make me feel somewhat confuse, I do not know if it is because of how you feel about Humanity itself and the need to help is a burden so immense that when you express yourself everything comes out in a way that I understand but yet makes me wonder how do we go about taking care of our own inner peace before we take care of the rest of the world. I do not know if you can follow. But you certainly know how to move someones heart, and for that I thank you smile

My life is alright and I feel rich inside. But I am an average human being who wants to share the feelings of others. That's all. I am sorry if I caused any confusion in my twisting of thoughts. But its my style, its the way I express myself. I am grateful because you took your valuable time to read my scribbles and so I feel another obligation to thank. Thank you.smile

chanmok; You do not have to feel bad for my confusion. Sometimes it is confusing when you know more than one language. Do you know that it is a fact tha it does not matter how many languages you speak whenever you have to do math and count you always do it in your native tongue/language. Anyway life is confusing to begin with, so it is ok. I did not mean anything by it. Maybe it is the fact that I try to think to much and do not see it in a more simple way. Thank you for your kind words however the one that has the talent is you.smile

That's right! English speaking people forget their own words if they want to learn france and vice versa. Their newer vocal techniques use their own vocal organs strangely and differently.lol lol Have you seen the Tv show of "alo, alo" (hallo, hallo) how Rene talked english!lol lol But its Ok. All for entertainment. smile smile

My brother speaks fluently French, English, Spanish and Portuguese's. He spend several years in France learning the art of Fencing. I spend almost 1 year in Germany so guess what, I got a mess a little German, a little French, a little Portuguese's, English,Spanish, and for whatever reason [God's only know 1 time I got a called from the Jail, since I worked for the County] that they needed me to translate for someone, so I asked who was the individual. Guess what? He was a federal prisoner who spoke chinese. Well surprise, surprise I did not know I was able to speak chinese, so I have to tell them sorry but I could not help them.It was kind of funny. When ever I'm on the phone with one of my sisters and I start talking in English she start talking in French, and then she procedes to let my nieces do the same. Her excuse "PAYBACK". You should see me at work sometime. They do not know @ times what language I'm speaking which it is to my advantage sometimes. Anyway the whole idea is that it is my problem when I get confused.Sometimes I read and I will see the message in one way, then later I will ready later and see it in a different way. I just hope you keep on writing,vt2

vt2:

I knew some children, who got speaking disabilities at their early ages. Parents teach them their native tongue, TELEVISION teaches different and babysitters shout with weird languages. So, children get confused. Learning a language isn't easy. In most cases, one needs to have certain age, ability or maturity in his/her brain to practice, to understand and to speak various languages. But children on the other hand are fragile, incapacitated to receive too much contradictiry load. Therefore, Teachers and theraphists advise the parents to speak in one common language or 'state language' with their children to further their education.

chanmok; I agree that when a person knows more than 1 language it can get very confusing. being there, done that, but I'm also thankful for the opportunity given to me to broaden my horizon. Like I said before my momo was a teacher, and when she retired a little earlier because of her health, she was very frustrated because teaching was her passion. So she was bored, consequently some of my nieces and nephews that came to my house during the day learn to read at a very young age, just because my momo did not know what to do with herself, and the kids where @ the house. It was always fun to see my momo doing what she loved to do. The only bad thing was that my sisters and brothers were not paying her. smile Yes it is true that "the brain needs to practice" but that is why you most take the time. When I was in Germany for example you learn the High German and then you have the German that it is spoken in the different Providences in Germany, it is the same way in the Philippines, their National Language is Tagalog but once again each Providence speak their own language. So you see ,it is all about Culture and necessity, not because whether they want to learn it. I wanted to learn it, I literally beg to learn. It is the same with all Spanish speaking Nations some of the words that we use might be ok for us while for Spain might be very offensive and I can actually think of one right now, which is a word that most hispanics people pretty much used in South America, however if you use it in Spain you can go to jail. So as you can see we create our own problems, Don't you think?

Chan Mongolchanmok1 Friday, May 8, 2009 2:51:48 AM

very well explained.

virmarytorres2 Saturday, May 9, 2009 12:39:39 AM

Well I expected more discussion, not jsut "very well explained". I did not want to pick a fight, however I thought that perhaps you have more word sad smile just kidding. I do not like fights

Chan Mongolchanmok1 Saturday, May 9, 2009 7:41:59 AM

vt2: First, you almost gave me a heart attack. Then you assured me that you don't fight. What a relief!worried smile You know what I think! I think, due to mass use of mobile phones, most citizens of the world been using English alphabet in their message texts. Hence, worldwide, illeterate and uneducated people came to know basic english. Not only due to mobile phone but also because of fast application of other mideas citizens in nations are learning english. Many artificial and even rich laguage might have a crush in near future. They might slowly disappear from generations. There might exist english and only english as father's tongue, mother's tongue, teacher's tongue, friend's tongue and so on and so forth. Turks use english alphabet to write a long time ago, after the ww1. We can see that Asians, Indians, Arabs and others write their languages in english in mobile phones and in computers/internets. They also start using english words while talking. Everybody is learnig fast due to facilities given to all. Soon, we might not see much spices to cause stomach pain and difficulties of absorbing and explaining in a foreign language and 'multi language crisis' may come to an end. People will not spend their finance, energy, time to be multi lingual. lol coffee

virmarytorres2 Saturday, May 9, 2009 8:00:06 AM

People changed, the moved on but not because of one specific Culture. I do not think that one particular individual changes just becauseof a particular reason. They changed because either they are tired of the same routine or becase they are quiters and quiters do not get too far. My parents always said that it was very impolate to speak spanish or any other language in front of a particular individal that did not know what we were talking about, regardless what the conversation was. They will not put up with it. It was consider offensive,so when I'm always do wondered how other individuals feel like it? It is not pleasant, I think, anyway.

Chan Mongolchanmok1 Saturday, May 9, 2009 8:25:19 AM

You said it! "They changed because either they are tired of the same routine or becase they are quiters and quiters do not get too far". Also, blessings for the souls of your parents. They taught you right. I wish every parents teach their children like them. They were good people, icons and exemples of the society. They believed what I believe. That, narrowness can't free a person. That, it is not polite to speak own language infront of others. That, it's better and very humble to share a common language during conversations.

virmarytorres2 Saturday, May 9, 2009 3:27:52 PM

I often wonder why people do that. It is one thing if the individual does not know the language, that it is a different issue. But when it is done on purpose, just out of disrespect for those around just because they do not want people to know what they are talking about it is not nice. Someone asked me once if I was ashame of speaking Spanish I replied I was not, however I was not going to engaged in a Spanish conversation knowing that they people around me did not know Spanish. The individual tried very hard to argued with me in Spanish and every time he did it I just responded back in English. It is my BELIEVE [PERSONAL BELIEVE] that respect should be given to those around us when visiting. Those who do not agree that is fine with me.smile

Chan Mongolchanmok1 Saturday, May 9, 2009 3:58:38 PM

"If the individual doesn't know english that can be well underwstood". Agreed.smile

virmarytorres2 Saturday, May 9, 2009 5:26:48 PM

Correct. That is understandable, and I will definitely translate. But if it is out of being lazy or just want to cause a show, I will not stand for it. See you changed your picture smile
